Can the Patriots exceed expectations he asks….

The Other McCain is pondering that question, since he is a Pats fan.

I have to say they finish 3rd. What that means record wise who knows. But, even with a promising young QB, and the best coach in NFL history, I do not see the Pats making the postseason. The Bills bitch slapped the Rams last night, they should make a run to the SB, Miami will be a playoff team. The Pats? 6-11this year.

AS to the other divisions? Ravens with the AFC North, Bengals second, Steelers 3rd, then the Browns

AFC South? WORST DIVISION IN FOOTBALL! Colts win it Tennessee second. The Texans and Jags? Their best bet is to try to join the Pac -12.

AFC West. Should be a very wild ride. The Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders will beat each other up, with Denver ending up on top.

The NFC? Well the East is Dallas, Eagles, Giants, and Washington

NFC South? In order Bucs, Panthers, Saints, Falcons

NFC North? Packers, Vikings, Bears, Lions

NFC West? Niners, Cards, Rams and Seahawks

Superbowl? Bills 35 Cowboys 31

You are welcome America!

RIP

Hall of Fame quarterback Len Dawson, who led the Chiefs to a win in Super Bowl IV, has passed away.

Dawson, who played 19 years in the NFL, was 87.

In a statement released to Kansas City’s KMBC, Dawson’s family confirmed his passing.

“With wife Linda at his side, it is with much sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Len Dawson. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. Len was always grateful and many times overwhelmed by the countless bonds he made during his football and broadcast careers,” said the family’s statement.

“He loved Kansas City and no matter where his travels took him, he could not wait to return home.”

The NFL should really stick to football, and ignore activism

Read Time:1 Minute, 32 Second

Over at The Outkick, Armando Salguero has an excellent column about the NFL, forgetting what their lane is. Hint- it is FOOTBALL, not activism.

This is, however, a takedown of the NFL and its teams celebrating the lifestyle. And doing so without equal acceptance to the other side — many of whom happen to be NFL fans, also.

Consider that I could not find the last time the NFL’s social media account or an NFL media release promoted the traditional family that includes a married mother and father and their children.

Consider what happened on April 17. The NFL tweeted about players who impressed at the NFL combine. It tweeted about the excellence of Ohio State receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. It tweeted mock draft projections.

All these tweets came on a day 63 percent of the people in America who classify themselves as Christians were marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter or Resurrection Sunday.

Did the NFL mention this on its social media? Celebrate it?

Look, this is basic common sense. The NFL is a business, a business that has, for decades entertained tens of millions of football fans. Note, I did not denote anything about the religious/political/ideological/ beliefs of those fans. Why? Because football is about politics religion ideology FOOTBALL! That is it! No, don’t give me the NFL should “take a side” on abortion, gun control, politics, etc. They really should stay out of it. Leave those things aside for several reasons. First, a lot of your fans do care about such things. But, they hear enough Monday through Saturday. They do not sit down to watch a game and think YES! Let’s hear about politics! Hell no. They want to watch football………THAT IS IT! The NFL should accept this truth. Go read the column, good stuff
