MRC-TV brings us thus tale of malfeasance and idiocy from the Mayor of New Orleans, who claims flying coach is just not safe for a Black woman.

It sure seems as if some politicians don’t have a sense of propriety – or even of absurdity.

Take the newest case, of New Orleans Mayor (D) LaToya Cantrell. As Joseph Michalitsianos reports for the Daily Mail:

“LaToya Cantrell, the controversial Democratic mayor of New Orleans, repaid the city nearly $29,000 she wrongfully used in city cash for first class flights after justifying it by saying economy class is unsafe for black women.”

Really? I was unaware of what must be a rash of attacks on Black women on airplanes. Well, in coach anyway. Sounds like mayor is just a liar making up incredibly insane excuses for her lack of integrity.

This new report comes months after Cantrell had at first refused to cough up the cash, fueling public outrage and more than a little mockery for claiming she had to plunk down tens of thousands in tax dollars for first-class tickers because flying as a black woman was a security risk.

So, the mayor really went with this? Sounds like her Race Cards are maxed out! Because no one is buying this BS!

Adds Michalitsianos, the Mayor said:

“’As the mother of a young child whom I live for, I am going to protect myself by any reasonable means in order to ensure I am there to see her grow into the strong woman I am raising her to be. Anyone who wants to question how I protect myself just doesn’t understand the world black women walk in.’

Hmmm, believable? Survey says…..

For the first time the Heritage Foundation’s index of American military strength has ranked us as ‘weak’. The index warns that the Army “remains ‘weak’ in capacity with only 62 percent of the force it should have”. And even the Army has admitted that it has missed its recruiting target by 10,000 personnel which is expected to climb to over 20,000 by the end of the next fiscal year.

As Heritage and the Wall Street Journal note, “From 2005 to 2020, the U.S. fleet grew to 296 warships from 291, while China’s navy grew to 360 from 216.” The Navy however is focused on inclusion and diversity. The situation at the Air Force is much worse with the Heritage report warning that “the munitions stockpile” would probably “not support a peer-level fight that lasted more than a few weeks”. But the Air Force is also focused on diversity and inclusion.

The Navy is rated as very weak in capacity and weak in readiness. The Air Force ranks as very weak due to “problems with pilot production and retention, an extraordinarily small amount of time in the cockpit for pilots, and a fleet of aircraft that continues to age”. The Heritage index warns that “there is little doubt that it would struggle in war with a peer competitor”.

Go read all the bad news. The left, including Team Mumbles and Stumbles apparently is at war on our military as well as everything else that makes America great.
