There’s more to this thread by Jill Filipovic, but this tweet is the one getting the most attention. From the side that has replaced women with “birthing persons” is the claim that “unborn child” is an Orwellian term that just makes it impossible to discuss human existence with the necessary complexity. Filipovic asks that journalists please use more scientifically accurate and much more advanced words like “embryo” and “fetus”; as in, “All her friends got together to throw Jill a fetus shower.”

More Morally perverse verbal clap trap to justify the barbarism moral reprobates like Filipovic defend as if it is a holy war they are fighting. They use such language like to sound smart. Twitter, naturally, eradicated the nonsensical rantings of Filipovic, Loads of great Tweets mocking Jill but this one, this one is beautiful

And yes, the Left’s narratives on abortion are, lies. Jordan Boyd at The Federalist explains

Now that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade, leftists are lying to women that they will no longer receive life-saving healthcare in the case of an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, even though states with abortion restrictions do not criminalize those treatments.

Meghan Markle is just one of the many purveyors of such dangerous disinformation that stems from outrage over the court’s Dobbs v. Jackson decision. In a recent interview with Vogue, Markle claimed “nobody should be forced to make a decision they do not want to make, or is unsafe, or puts their own life in jeopardy.”

Fact is these lies need to be corrected. If the media did their job of course, they would have corrected the falsehoods already, but…… You think they are going to correct the Dark Lord of Pantsuits?

Now, to the facts

Thirteen states, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming, had prearranged abortion bans called “trigger laws” that would immediately go into effect if Roe was ever overturned.

All of those states, except Tennessee which makes abortion exceptions if a mother’s life is in danger, included caveats that explicitly noted that complications such as ectopic pregnancies, which are fatal to the mother if left untreated, did not fall under the new restrictions.

Again, and again, the left lies and their lapdogs in the media allow it. Please go and read it all. Please share this folks. Lies will lose if the truth is given a fair shot.

Who is crazier, Marcotte or Jennifer Rubin? Pico makes a strong case for Marcotte Some highlights, but go read it all. Start out with Marcotte claiming certain justices are somehow not legitimate because ELECTIORAL COLLEGE BAD!

It is also that, of the six justices who voted to uphold abortion bans, only one — Justice Clarence Thomas — was appointed by a president who won the majority of the vote. Both Trump and Bush obtained the White House, and the ability to nominate justices, because of the archaic electoral college system that overweighs the votes of rural whites and marginalizes the majority of Americans who support reproductive rights.

Again, this is factually untrue. While the younger George Bush received fewer popular votes than Vice President Al Gore in 2000, he not only won the popular vote in 2004, 62,040,610 to 59,028,444 for Senator John Kerry (D-M), but with a 50.7% to 48.3% margin, he won an absolute majority of all votes cast. John Roberts was appointed by the younger President Bush on July 19, 2005, which was in Mr Bush’s second term. Justice Alito was nominated on October 31, 2005, also during the President’s second term.

To compound the injustice of this, one of the Trump-nominated judges, Justice Neil Gorsuch, has no right to sit in his seat. He is only there because Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., illegally used his power as then-Senate Majority Leader to refuse to hold hearings for then-President Barack Obama’s 2020 nominee to the court, Merrick Garland.

Go read it all, as you can tell from Marcotte’s babbling incoherently about the Electoral College, she has either never taken a basic civics course, or is just as dumb as a dried up mud puddle.

Reasonable people understand that this decision only pushes abortion to the states, where most laws should be decided frankly. Justice Alito said it very well

The Supreme Court on Friday overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively ending recognition of a constitutional right to abortion and giving individual states the power to allow, limit, or ban the practice altogether.

The ruling came in the court’s opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which centered on a Mississippi law that banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The Republican-led state of Mississippi asked the Supreme Court to strike down a lower court ruling that stopped the 15-week abortion ban from taking place.

“We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the court’s opinion.

Folks, understand that the left is, well, anything but reasonable Be careful out there. I have no doubt that some on the left will use this ruling to justify violence. Personally, I would avoid any large gatherings of “pro-choice” supporters. Sad that we are as a nation in such a place, but here we are!
