Via Bearing Arms Does Sen. Murphy even know what gun laws we have…?

Since he’s someone who keeps trying to push laws, many might believe he’d at least be conversant on what laws already exist, right?

Well, it sounds like he doesn’t.

On Wednesday’s Amanpour & Co. show, interviewer Walter Isaacson gave Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) a forum to make a misleading push for gun control as the two discussed the recent 10-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook school massacre.

Appearing on the show which is shown on both PBS and CNN International, Senator Murphy recalled that he became an activist on gun control after the event, leading Isaacson to follow up: “If firearms is the leading cause of death among young kids, what could be done next? What would you like to see happen after this reform of the past year?”

Even though federal law requires anyone who sells weapons for profit to do a background check on the buyer, the liberal Senator claimed some states do not have background checks, which he blamed for fueling the illegal gun market:

So what we have in this country is a massive black market in firearms, and that is how firearms often end up in the hands of young kids. So background checks is the quickest way to stop that black market because how the black market starts is a criminal trafficker buying a whole bunch of weapons in a state where there’s no background checks.

BALD-FACED LIE! And Senator Murphy knows it! But, once more the left as no use for truth. They care about power, over you! Murphy knows background checks are federally mandated, yet, he chooses to lie.

It’s a “mostly peaceful” end for the journalism careers of a lot of deadwood on the payroll of the third-place cable news network:

CNN started to inform staffers of layoffs, as its chairman and CEO Chris Licht wrote that notices will go out on Wednesday and Thursday.

“Today we will notify a limited number of individuals, largely some of our paid contributors, as part of a recalibrated reporting strategy,” Licht wrote in a memo, shared on Twitter by CNN’s Oliver Darcy. “Tomorrow we will notify impacted employees, and tomorrow afternoon I will follow up with more details of these changes.”

Licht had announced earlier this fall that the network would cut positions. He wrote that he “recently described this process as a gut punch, because I know that is how it feels for all of us.”

“It will be a difficult time for everyone,” Licht wrote in the memo. “If your job has been impacted, you will learn through an in-person meeting or via Zoom, depending on your location.” He added that the affected employees would receive information about severance and their last day. Those who were eligible for 2022 bonuses would still receive them based on performance.

Well, when you go in the bias tank for one political party, what do you expect to happen? When you consistently smear half the country, what do you expect?

Their language is, frankly, chilling, to the bone. This is not about going and finding what motivated this nut job is Colorado. Rather, this is about them telling you what caused this BEFORE anyone knows. Observe, and pay close attention to what the guy whose heads looks like a swollen testicle says. Note the venom, aimed at, America, American traditions, and values, gun owners, Conservatives, parents who want to be involved in their child’s education. Note that everything he and Luntz, and the CNN anchor say about this show them being the angry, bitter ones spewing over the top rhetoric.

To me they seem as if they are the dangerous ones with deeply held bigotry in their hearts.

It has become glaringly obvious that no matter what happens, the left has selected leftists to decide what is settled and what questions we, the people, may ask.

They have decided for example, that the “science” is settled on climate change, electric cars, and gender identity.

Debates surrounding history, and how to teach it? Parents who wish to debate that question are considered threats by teachers unions. Therefore discussion or debate is VERBOTEN! So SILENCE! It is none of parents business what is taught to your children! Same when it comes to gender identities, trans students, etc. NO QUESTIONS!

Guns, the second amendment, self-defense, the right to carry? Discussion is not welcome. The left, they say has the stats that PROVE guns are bad, and that the second amendment is misunderstood by most dumb gun owners who represent a threat to all our safe spaces. Again, debate? How about SILENCE!!

Pretty much everything is being pushed into to the NO DISCUSSION NEEDED column. And, the ones demanding this standard are all on the left. HMMM, and, sadly, the media seems all too willing to abide by this idiocy. Take, for example, the Paul Pelosi assault story. Apparently anyone who questions any aspect of the story is a “dangerous radical pushing MISINFORMATION! And who is pushing that message? Yes, Democrats, but, also the media whose job is, in fact, journalism! So, the media will attack anyone who, asks questions, or investigates the case. Yes, you read that correctly. The media, the journalists are, in large part condemning, journalism! Seems journalism is now misinforation

Strange times these are my friends. Strange, until you remember what Marxists always do, they control, tightly control, information. Those that seek knowledge for themselves? They are radical, dangerous, and need to be prevented from (hurting the government) Or, as they say today, (hurting our…Democracy)

CNN, The First Name in Propaganda?

On the Monday edition of CNN’s At This Hour, host Kate Bolduan emphasized the FBI’s 2700 open domestic violent extremism (DVE) cases, noting that this figure was “more than double” what it had been in 2020. Notably absent from the segment was any discussion of recent FBI whistleblower reports, which alleged that agents were being pressured to artificially inflate the number of open DVE investigations to please top officials at the Bureau.

Of course, those agents saying they are being told to actively INFLATE the numbers is something you might think a news agency would investigate, right? But, this is CNN of course, and they are not in the journalism business any more! CNN could not even bother to reference Rep. Jim Jordan asking FBI Director Christopher Wray about the allegations.

According to alleged whistleblowers within the Bureau, agents are being pressured to reclassify cases as DVE investigations despite many such cases not meeting the necessary criteria. On July 27, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, detailing these allegations:

Another whistleblower—who led at least one high profile domestic terrorism investigation—stated that a field office Counterterrorism Assistant Special Agent in Charge and the FBI’s Director of the Counterterrorism Division have pressured agents to move cases into the DVE category to hit self-created performance metrics.  According to whistleblowers, the FBI uses these metrics to dispense awards and promotions. Every whistleblower has called it an environment of “pressure” within the FBI.

Now, are the allegations true? Don’t know. Should they be investigated and very concerning? Yes. Should any serious media outlet be looking into them? Absolutely. But, they are not. How convenient for the current leftist administration……………

CNN’s Brian Stelter, who delights in parroting leftist and Democratic Party narratives on his show “Reliable Sources,” will be out of his job soon, according to a new report. . . .
In May, Chris Licht, who has supposedly emphasized less opinion-oriented reporting, became the new head of CNN. Last Sunday, “Reliable Sources” had its worst-rated episode since September 2019, reaching only 580,000 viewers, the smallest audience since September 15, 2019.

In a memo to employees, Licht wrote, “… too many people have lost trust in the news media. I think we can be a beacon in regaining that trust by being an organization that exemplifies the best characteristics of journalism: fearlessly speaking truth to power, challenging the status quo, questioning group-think, and educating viewers and readers with straightforward facts and insightful commentary, while always being respectful of differing viewpoints.” . . .

Of course, if you think CNN is really serious about journalism………
