Anything that has a lithium-ion battery needs cobalt. The bulk of the world’s cobalt comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). There is one major problem with that.

However, independent investigations conducted in recent years by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and Amnesty International have documented how many cobalt mines located in the DRC employ child laborers. The Biden administration also released a report in October showing that child labor continues to take place in the mines.

“Many children we spoke to told us that they were frequently ill. Inhaling cobalt dust can cause hard metal lung disease — a potentially fatal condition,” a 2016 Amnesty International report stated. “Skin contact with cobalt can cause dermatitis — a chronic rash. Yet the children and other miners have neither masks nor gloves to protect them.”

Well , the left is showing the world what their priorities are, and those priorities are not for children’s welfare

President Mumbles frees another terrorist

After the bombing of a Marriott hotel that killed and wounded over 160 people, plots to poison water reservoirs near military bases, blow up gas stations and poison medications, Biden has decided to free Majid Khan from Gitmo and send him off to vacation in sunny Belize.

Biden has continued Obama’s policy of freeing all the Islamic terrorists from Guantanamo Bay.

His administration released an alternate 9/11 hijacker and a military base truck bomb plotter. He also freed a terrorist linked to a Chanukah massacre of Israeli children, an Al Qaeda ally who plotted to smuggle nukes into America and the Taliban commander who helped blow up the Buddhas. He’s also tried to cut a deal to spare 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the death penalty. So Khan, a high-value detainee, knew that his day would soon come.

But in 2003, there was another day that allegedly had Khan’s bloody fingerprints on it.

On a hot August day in Jakarta, a station wagon blew up in front of the Marriott hotel. The explosion claimed a eleven lives, including that of 49-year-old Dutch banker Hans Winkelmolen, and Johanes Bolan, and wounded another 150 people.

One account describes how, “the force of the explosion shattered windows 30 floors up, and the attack left bodies lying among shattered debris and wrecked cars in the street.” Some victims lay in hospitals on ventilators while others had shrapnel extracted from their bodies. At memorials outside the Indonesian hotel, flowers were left next to photographs of the victims.

When our president speaks the face palms appear in multitudes

How would you describe President Biden’s speeches? Eloquent? How about inspiring? Uplifting perhaps? Unifying? How about incoherent?

President Biden told the crowd at a historically black college on Monday that they were “just as smart” and “just as bright” as students at other schools as he delivered his final speech before the midterm elections in a deeply Democratic part of Maryland.

The president’s remarks were reminiscent of a gaffe he made on the campaign trail in 2019, when he told a crowd in Iowa that “poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.”

At one point during his speech, Biden appeared to forget the name of one of the Maryland Democrats he was rallying for.

“And, of course, you got that next governor. What’s his name? Wes … Wes …,” Biden said as several people in the crowd held up “Wes Moore” signs that the president spotted.

Of course, sometimes there are nuggets of truth in the presidents words, like about drilling for oil for example

On Sunday, Biden boasted in New York that he hadn’t expanded oil drilling on federal lands — saying, “there is no more drilling … I haven’t formed any new drilling” — despite spending months rejecting Republican blame for high gas prices, in part by blaming oil companies for not drilling more.

OH, Mr. President! Thanks for being honest for once, even if it was a mistake. Wish we had a media that would play that on a loop like they would to a Republican president.

Of course, everyone makes gaffes, or misspeaks, but our leader has it down to a science. But, at least he looks like he is all there and in control, so…..

They’ll plant all these trees and mismanage the new forests by not allowing proper cutting, thinning and harvesting of the timber, then blame climate change for the massive fires that erupt as a result.

Biden’s “Climate Emergency” Declaration? Sounds like BS to me!

At The Federalist, David Harsanyi makes a point the media should be making

The Washington Post reported Monday night that President Joe Biden is “considering declaring a national climate emergency” to “salvage his environmental agenda in the wake of stalled talks on Capitol Hill.” A few hours later, the Associated Press reported that the administration would “hold off” on the announcement as he, presumably, lays the political groundwork to move forward.

There’s no “It’s Summer” clause in the Constitution, empowering the president to ignore the will of Congress and unilaterally govern when it gets hot. The rejection of the president’s “agenda” by the lawmaking branch of government isn’t a justification for executive action, it’s the opposite. The Senate has unambiguously declined to implement Biden’s climate plan.

EXCELLENT piece that shows, again our politicians are ignoring the constitution

What is is about the left? Seems sometimes that no matter what law enforcement does, the Democrats just want to denigrate them. Consider this report from The Lid

That is precisely what we see play out with the case of the border officers falsely accused of using their horses’ reigns to ‘whip’ people who had been illegally streaming across the border.

Remember how Biden rushed to judgment and promised they would be punished when half the country could plainly see the agents were not doing what they were accused of doing?

Here was Biden’s reaction at the time:

“To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped — it’s outrageous,” Biden said. “I promise you, those people will pay. There will be an investigation underway now and there will be consequences. There will be consequences.”

He added that it is “an embarrassment, but beyond an embarrassment, it’s dangerous.”

Apparently, the ‘soul of the nation’ Biden promised had no room for the presumption of innocence or due process.

It seems that Team Mumbles and Stumbles is hell bent on punishing these agents for daring to do their damn jobs. THey ahve been cleared of doing anything wrong, and frankly, President Biden should apologize. BUT………….

They will be punished for “administrative violations,”. What horse shit! And what a way to utterly demoralize the agents, which, I suppose is the goal here.

Apparently, not a whole bunch of folks want to go see Vice-President Harris. Can you blame them? She is about as exciting as watching a dripping faucet frankly. And then there is that approval rating. She is actually doing worse than President Mumbles.

No, we can also point to the fact that the DNC can’t seem to get enough folks to even eat dinner with the Vice President to make it worth their while. It could be that cackling makes people lose their appetite.

The Democrat National Committee (DNC) reportedly had to reschedule its Woman’s Leadership Forum fundraiser on May 25 and 26 with Vice President Kamala Harris for lack of ticket sales.

“The event was rescheduled last minute for the autumn, when the event is traditionally held, after the event couldn’t sell enough tickets,” Status Coup News reported. “When the invites were sent out on May 5, it was hyped as an incredible opportunity to mingle in person after two years of virtual events and meetings.”

What, these folks do not get into Cackling and sputtering out nonsensical utterances? I mean I used to wonder if any person was less likable than Hillary. Well, Meet Kamala Harris A.K.A The Cackler!
