The Astros took Game 6 last night 4-1, and won the World Series. This marks Houston’s second Baseball crown. And keeps their dynasty going. They took the 2017 World Series, beating the Dodgers. Lost in the 2018 ALCS, losing to the Red Sox, lost the 2019 World Series to the Nationals. The next year they dropped ALCS Series to the Rays, and fell to the Braves in the World Series last year. The Astros are also the only team to make a World Series in both leagues, winning the 2005 National League crown in 2005 before losing to the Chicago White Sox

The Phillies were the last team to earn a playoff berth. They then beat the Cardinals, the Braves, and Padres to reach their 8th World Series, and first in 13 years. The Phillies also lost the World Series in 1915, 1950, 1983, 1993, and 2009. They have won twice in 1980 and 2008.

RIP Baseball legend Bruce Sutter

Just 69

When Bruce Sutter began experimenting with the split-fingered fastball, he wasn’t looking for a path to Cooperstown. He was just hoping to save his career.

“I wouldn’t be here without that pitch,” Sutter said shortly before his Hall of Fame induction in 2006. “My other stuff was A ball, Double-A at best. The split-finger made it equal.”

Sutter, the full-bearded closer who paid for his own elbow surgery as a low minor leaguer and later pioneered the sharp-dropping pitch that came to dominate big league hitters for decades, died Thursday. He was 69.

Sutter was recently diagnosed with cancer and in hospice surrounded by his family, one of Sutter’s three sons, Chad, told The Associated Press. The Baseball Hall of Fame said Bruce Sutter died in Cartersville, Georgia.

A six-time All-Star, Sutter led the National League in saves for five years and won the 1979 Cy Young Award. He posted 300 saves in a 12-year career with the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves.

Fan who caught Judge’s 62nd HR unsure what he will do with it

If it is me, I am saying SHOW ME THE MONEY!

The historic souvenir came sailing into the front row of section 31 in left field, a drive Judge hit to lead off the second game of a day-night doubleheader against the Texas Rangers. Youmans snared it on the fly.

Youmans, from Dallas, works in the financial world and there’s no telling yet what the ball could be worth. With security personnel around him as he took the ball to be authenticated, he was asked what he planned to do with the prize.

“Good question. I haven’t thought about it,” he said.

After the Yankees lost 3-2, Judge said he didn’t have possession of the home-run ball.

“I don’t know where it’s at,” he said. “We’ll see what happens with that. It would be great to get it back, but that’s a souvenir for a fan. He made a great catch out there, and they’ve got every right to it.”

Apparently it is worth up to 2 million dollars

Frankly, the Yankees should buy it, and out it in their museum
