The Astros took Game 6 last night 4-1, and won the World Series. This marks Houston’s second Baseball crown. And keeps their dynasty going. They took the 2017 World Series, beating the Dodgers. Lost in the 2018 ALCS, losing to the Red Sox, lost the 2019 World Series to the Nationals. The next year they dropped ALCS Series to the Rays, and fell to the Braves in the World Series last year. The Astros are also the only team to make a World Series in both leagues, winning the 2005 National League crown in 2005 before losing to the Chicago White Sox
The Phillies were the last team to earn a playoff berth. They then beat the Cardinals, the Braves, and Padres to reach their 8th World Series, and first in 13 years. The Phillies also lost the World Series in 1915, 1950, 1983, 1993, and 2009. They have won twice in 1980 and 2008.
