Did I hear Democrats talking about bi-partisanship?

0 0
Read Time:47 Second

How about NO!

“The Left, in revolutionary fashion, has waged a sustained and unapologetic attack on constitutional norms and long-held institutions—whenever it senses they no longer prove conducive to its own radical agendas.” So begins a trenchant commentary by Victor Davis Hanson on the repeated efforts of Democratic Party leadership to overthrow America’s constitutional republic. Hanson’s remarks stand in stark contrast to a famous interview given to Salon by Dana Perino in 2018, in which the former presidential press secretary was hailed as the “voice of reason.” Perino expressed disappointment that neither party “was talking civility” and considered her own party as much to blame for this incivility as the other one

It is a two-way street. One that should require a sincere desire to compromise for the good of the country. This Democratic bunch does not possess an ounce of sincere desire for anything, except for complete power, so screw them.

How crucial is it for Americans to understand America is a Republic, NOT a Democracy?

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 16 Second

The Other McCain explains

America’s form of government is unique among nations, in that we are a federal republic. Other nations may call themselves such, but they do not have our distinct history, in which 13 separate British colonies, having fought and won a war for independence from their homeland, then developed a new charter for their combined government as a federation of states. As a condition of ratifying that charter, the constitutional conventions of several states — most particularly Virginia — insisted that it must be amended to include guarantees of certain rights.

Most of the provisions of the Bill of Rights address what the Americans had inherited from the Whig tradition in England (e.g., religious freedom, trial by jury, etc.) or else seek to prevent the sort of abuses of power (e.g., unwarranted search and seizure) by which the colonists had felt oppressed under the British rule. But the most unique expressions of the rights our founders saw fit to prescribe were contained in the Second Amendment (the right to “keep and bear arms” which “shall not be infringed”) and the Tenth Amendment (reserving to the states all powers not delegated to the federal government). In both cases, these amendments express the concerns of the Anti-Federalists that the federal government might obtain too much power, becoming not the servant of the people, but rather their master. You cannot understand our Constitution and its Bill of Rights without studying the debates over ratification, a point made by M.E. Bradford in Original Intentions: On the Making and Ratification of the United States Constitution. Every student of American history is (or rather should be) familiar with The Federalist Papers, in which James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay made their arguments in favor of ratifying the new Constitution.

But those arguments cannot be fully understood without reference to the arguments of the Anti-Federalists, who opposed ratification. The Constitution could not have been adopted as the supreme law of the land if its proponents had not succeeded in assuring delegates to the state ratification conventions that this new government would not become a centralized tyrannical power, as the Anti-Federalists claimed.

My friends, go read it all! Pass it around urge everyone to read this! Most of America’s issues, maybe all of them can be found in our lack of adherence to our Constitution. In fact, our Constitution is largely ignored by both parties and by the citizens. It has been referenced when convenient, and then forgotten by far too many in our government. It is not taught in school as it should be taught. America cannot survive if this continues. We cannot be America by erasing or ignoring what America is.

Mike McDaniel really does not like Liz Cheney

0 0
Read Time:42 Second

And, it shows, and good for Mike McDaniel

Her truthfulness and credibility, not so much.  This is classic Cheney.  She’s a “constitutional conservative,” but she doesn’t know conservatives—normal Americans—do not despise men.  They see them, like women, as integral parts of God’s plan, each with their own complimentary strengths.  Cheney is defending the Constitution by trying to pretend executive privilege doesn’t exist.  She might want to chat with her dad about that.  And how are things for the January 6 Committee Stalinist soap opera going?

Go read it all. Cheney is looking out for Cheney. Maybe she wants to switch parties and replace Biden on the 2024 Democratic ticket. Who knows, but I know she has pissed away any credibility she ever had. She has exposed herself as another power grabber, nothing more.

Hey look, Paul Ryan is trying to be relevant again

Read Time:28 Second

Trying so hard, it would seem, it brings tears to his eyes. H/T Weasel Zippers!

Via Wash Ex:

Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan cried as rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, a new book claims.

Ryan “found himself in tears” and was “absolutely horrified” watching the Capitol riot, journalist Mark Leibovich writes in his forthcoming book, Thank You For Your Servitude. The Wisconsin Republican reportedly told Leibovich that he normally doesn’t cry much, but “something snapped in him” on Jan. 6.

Who you gonna believe?

Read Time:1 Minute, 59 Second

The entirely vindictive, politicized Sh*# that is the Jan 6 Committee or the Secret Service? Mike Miles wants to know.

The January 6 Committee’s credibility has plummeted after claims by former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson that President Trump “lunged” for the steering wheel of his vehicle and demanded to be taken to the site of the riots were contradicted by the lead Secret Service agent.

Hutchinson testified that Tony Ornato, the then-White House deputy chief of staff, told her that Trump said something like, “I’m the f-ing president, take me up to the Capitol now,” and had “reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel” before then using “his free hand to lunge towards Bobby Engel,” the presidential driver.

All so very dramatic, but, is it true? Or just more baseless melodrama from Liz Cheney and the Democrats? HMMMMM let us see

Despite the legacy media breathlessly reporting Hutchinson’s claims without much skepticism, the term ‘Amber Heard 2.0’ subsequently trended on Twitter as Hutchinson’s assertions were demolished.

Within hours, Peter Alexander of NBC News revealed that Engel was prepared to testify “under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.”

Also, if this were true, why would Hutchinson want to go back to work for Trump?

https://twitter.com/seanmdav/status/1541796051098779649?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1541796051098779649%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.zerohedge.com%2Fpolitical%2Fbullsht-claim-trump-lunged-steering-wheel-jan-6-discredited-secret-service

Well, that has to hurt the Liz Cheney LOOK AT ME world tour doesn’t it? Maybe poor Cassidy is suffering from a case of Truth Deficit Disorder?

This is, and has been nothing but a show trial. Designed to maybe help the Dems in the midterms, but mainly to send a message to future Republicans who might seek the White House that they will be under assault from the second they announce their intention to run. The Dems are desperate to prevent another strong Republican from becoming president.

Diogenes: Remember that short Clinton flunky jerk Robert Reich?

Well, he thinks he has a great candidate for president. And it IS a woman, a Conserva, Republi not a Democrat. Guess who? Go on, guess…….

Via Robert Reich’s Substack

“I trust Joe Biden’s steadiness and judgment, and if he runs again, I’ll probably back him in 2024. But today I want to suggest someone who isn’t even a Democrat, and whose positions on many issues I (and I suspect you) strongly disagree with — but who could possibly be the best president of the United States for the perilous time we’re entering.

I’m referring to Liz Cheney.

Well, Liz has been front and center doing everything she can to get noticed, so no surprise

Is anyone in the media a bigger low life than Nicole Wallace?

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 12 Second

You might think that anyone in the media with a show, even on MSNBS, would mention an assissination attempt on the life of a Supreme Court Justice. Right? Right?? Apparently not

Nicolle Wallace is a disgrace.

I went through the transcript of her MSNBC show yesterday multiple times. Surely, there must be something there! It beggars the imagination that a TV show devoted to political news could have failed to cover a story that broke earlier that same day–the arrest of an armed man outside the house of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and who admitted that his plan was to assassinate him.

Of course, to be fair, Nicole was overcome with grief that every tv station was not going to cover THE WORSTEST THING EVAH!!!. January 6th!! That, is MUST SEE TV right Nicole? I mean our nation will be in grave peril unless every watches the sham Jan. 6th hearings. But an attempt to kill a Supreme Court Justice? Nah, Liz Cheney and the Democrats cannot get any LOOK AT ME moments from that, so…..

So, in truth, this is really all about priorities. The priorities of Nicole Wallace, and left wing Democrats And Liz Cheney’s desperate attempt to get publicity. Will SOMEONE look at Liz please! The priority of the left maybe holding the House in 2022. Those are important to Nicole Wallace. Assassination attempts on Conservative justices? Not a priority to Nicole Wallace.

Pretty soon they will have only BB guns legal. Never mentioned by the media? The many defensive gun uses annually. You want to drive violent crime higher, ban guns, and watch the criminals ramp up their evil acts.
