From One Unapologetic Media Hoax to the Next
A discredited media has never expressed remorse for damage done

Joe Biden lied repeatedly when he claimed he knew nothing of his son Hunter’s influence-peddling businesses.

The President further prevaricated that he had no involvement in Hunter’s various shake down schemes.

Yet, the media continued to misinform by serially ignoring these facts.

Had journalists just been honest and independent, then candidate Joe Biden might have lost a presidential debate and even the 2020 election. The public would have learned that Hunter’s business associates and his laptop proved Joe was deeply involved in his son’s illicit businesses.

University student newspapers show why firearms outreach to journalism schools is vital

Student-run newspapers at universities aren’t known as bastions of anything but far-Leftism. It’s been like that for as long as I can remember. The brashest far-left among the student body run the newspapers, edging out fellow students with views that are just mildly to the right of the extreme Left. A cursory look at student newspapers reveals endemic bias and what essentially amounts to a single political point of view. What’s worse is that divergent views are treated as ideological hereticism that must be extirpated.

Student newspapers reflect the overall campus climate. There’s a lot of data showing that conservative, libertarian, and classical liberal students are afraid of speaking up, thanks to the dominant and utterly intolerant campus far-left. Their culture of bullying isn’t limited to the student body, as far-Left faculty are very much a part of it and have actively discriminated against and elbowed other faculty out of campus.

In the immediate aftermath of the murder of a Chinese-American professor by a Chinese graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, there was a campus-wide lockdown as police swept through buildings to catch the perpetrator. From the looks of it, this was a targeted murder, not an attempted mass shooting, but the police can’t make that assumption when there’s an act of violence. They need to do their job methodically.

The lockdown and the report of shots fired scared a lot of students, which is understandable. But the resulting exploitation of an isolated incident to push for more gun control isn’t (archived links).

ADL JOINS SHARPTON FOR CROWN HEIGHTS POGROM ANNIVERSARY

In August 1991, racist mobs roamed the streets of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, attacking anyone they thought might be Jewish. Black rioters stabbed, stoned and beat their victims. Community members huddled in their homes watching gangs smash their windows. Al Sharpton appeared to denounce the Jews at an event that included the banner, “Hitler did not do the job.”

In August 2023, the ADL ignored the anniversary of the Crown Heights Pogrom and instead joined Sharpton in Washington D.C. The ADL urged its members to take part in Sharpton’s ‘March on Washington’ headlined by his National Action Network and co-chaired by the ADL.

The ADL not only failed to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of the Crown Heights Pogrom, it partnered with the hatemonger who was front and center at the pogrom. ADL president Jonathan Greenblatt issued a press release together with Al Sharpton about the recent murder of three people in Florida, while forgetting about the three people who died in Crown Heights.

Killadelphia: It’s official: (Alleged) Kingsessing mass murderer is Just Plain Nuts

We have previously reported on Kimbrady Carriker, the fine gentleman from Philadelphia accused of a murder rampage which left five people in the Kingsessing neighborhood dead.

As soon as the name of Kimbrady Carriker was released, his social media were investigated, and photos of Mr Carriker in female dress led to immediate speculation that he was, like Audrey Hale in Nashville, yet another transgender killer. Well, that led to Philly officials quickly denying it:

While he acknowledged the social media images that appear to show Carriker wearing women’s clothing and jewelry, Asa Khalif, a member of the LGBTQ advisory committee for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, condemned the “violent” language coming from the “conservative press” about Carriker’s gender identity and shared what the district attorney’s office knows firsthand about Carriker’s gender identity.

Appear to show”? No, there’s no “appear to show” here, but actually show. Why would Mr Khalif, who supports the homosexual and transgender community, and must surely not be offended by, or see anything wrong, with cross-dressing, want to mealy-mouth things?

Vox Reporter Calls for Government-Subsidized Fake Meat Research

It’s not the role of government – any government, anywhere – to finance research into lab-grown meat, or indeed any of the various “meat alternatives.” But Vox‘s Julieta Cardenas not only thinks that the government should spend money on this research, she thinks that the billion or so dollars already poured down this rat hole isn’t enough. Not by a long shot.

The upshot: Governments around the world are more ready to fund alternative proteins in the wake of unstable food prices in 2022, a year that shed light on the effect of geopolitical tensions on food security. By developing an alternative protein sector, countries such as Singapore and Israel aim to be more self-sufficient while transforming their agriculture sector to be resistant in the face of wars, climate change, and export bans

Not only could investing more in alternative meats buoy countries’ food sovereignty aspirations, it could help their economies. If governments continue to invest in cellular agriculture — the process behind no-kill, lab-grown meat, different from plant-based meat substitutes like Beyond or Impossible meat — then the report estimates that there could be $1.1 trillion in global economic activity by 2050 and 9.8 million jobs in the sector. For reference, the meat industry value globally was $897.5 billion in 2021
