There is a battle of words between New York’s Eric Adams and Texas Governor Abbott.
Abbott sent a few busloads of migrants to NYC. NYC denounced it as a ‘stunt,’ claiming this was ‘straining the resources of the city… which is a strange position for the mayor of a self-proclaimed ‘sanctuary city’ to take.
The Mayor of a city with a skyrocketing crime problem openly contemplated bringing a bus to Texas, so he could knock on doors in support of Abbott’s opponent, Francis ‘Beto’ O’Rourke.
Because there’s nothing that resonates with ordinary Texans more than some stuffed shirt from an East Coast metropolis telling them how they should think and vote. Between that and the Million-dollar check the Dem challenger just got from Soros, Beto will win over those undecided voters in Texas come November.

Like always, Leftists like Adams is all for people pouring across our borders. The say terrible things about states like Texas which bear the brunt of the waves of people. But, when it is time to step up? Cowards like Adams run and hide

19th Ward looks at NY Mayor Adam’s odd way of being inclusive

New York Mayor Eric Adams has become a darling of sorts on the left. After running for the position on a “law and order” platform, it appears he might be more concerned with furthering the tenets of wokeism than with getting criminals off the streets. The mayor came under scrutiny after a report revealed that he instructed city agencies to send him pictures of potential hires. But the question is: Why does he seem unconcerned about running afoul of civil rights law?

Politico reported Thursday that Mayor Adams’ new move is ostensibly designed to foster diversity in the city’s ranks. The candidates are seeking positions “ranging from assistant commissioner to departmental press secretary,” according to the report.
The mayor’s office insists that this practice is nothing more than a way to help Adams “recognize his employees in a workforce of some 330,000,” but several officials argue that this is just way to push for more diversity. From Politico:
“Of nine current and past officials interviewed for this story, most voiced concern that the practice is already leading to staffing decisions based more on race and ethnicity than merit, even if they said they support a diversified workforce. And nearly all of them said it has added another obstacle to an already slow hiring process.”

Trying go push any type of “diversity” as the left defines it, is a fool’s errand. “Diversity” looks at what? Skin color, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, etc. None of these speak to talent, common sense, work ethic, positive attitudes, or anything else important. The idea behind it might be, at best, well intended. But, it will always fail in creating a talented, skilled dedicated work force, because the strategy does not hinge on the best people, but on, again, meaningless things like race, gender, and so on. And oh yes, it does something else too. It erodes moral, and incentive, and replaces them with resentment. As I said, it is a fool’s errand, obviously, Mayor Adams prefers foolishness and virtue signaling to building the best team he can.
