Expel Them All
You can engage in civil disobedience or you can engage in the political process as a lawmaker, but not both.
Following Audrey Hale’s March 27 massacre of three students and three adults at a Christian school in Nashville, three Tennessee state lawmakers staged a protest in the state Capitol on March 30. They approached the well in the legislative chamber, where they led protesters in the galleries in pro–gun control chants. The demonstration disrupted deliberations on an education bill, and the speaker of the Tennessee House called an hour’s adjournment.
The legislature expelled two of the members, State Reps. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, who are black; a third, Rep. Gloria Johnson, is white and was not expelled. Critics suggested the difference in treatment is rooted in racial prejudice; the single legislator who voted to expel Jones and Pearson but not Johnson cited the fact that the expelled members used megaphones in the chamber as the distinction behind his vote.

Cruz fires back at Popovich
Earlier this week, I wrote about San Antonio Spurs’ coach Greg Popovich’s anti-gun tirade before his last game of the season. To say that the coach doesn’t really understand the topic is putting it mildly.
Yet he also targeted several individual lawmakers that he blames.
Sen. Ted Cruz was one of those. It’s not surprising since he’s been a pretty staunch defender of the Second Amendment during his time in the Senate.

Biden Proclaims ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’

Three children and three adults were brutally murdered by a transgender shooter, Audrey Hale, at the Christian Covenant School in Nashville on March 27th. The attack was planned “over a period of months,” according to the Nashville police.
On March 30th – three days after the massacre — President Joe Biden proclaimed March 31st as “Transgender Day of Visibility.” Instead of honoring the memory of the victims murdered in cold blood at the school, Biden decided that it was more important to honor the “joy, strength, and absolute courage” of “millions of transgender and nonbinary Americans.”
