Good morning, kids. If you thought that Donald Trump made a big mistake by not attending the first debate, you might want to rethink that after last night’s complete shit-show in Simi Valley, or in this case the “See me!!!” valley. Aside from the fact that with the exception of Ron DeSantis every person on that stage is either a fraud RINO stooge or a dud or some combination of both (Ramaswamy and Bugrum seem decent enough but they’re sinking), you had to know that this would be a fiasco when they chose this Ilia Calderón to be the moderator.
Bad enough that she’s a filthy, anti-American lying shit-whore. But that she opened a national American broadcast in Spanish, intended primarily for an American audience in a nation whose unofficial official language is supposed to be English, and that one of the top issues and existential threats in and facing said nation is a completely erased border where millions of third world peasants primarily but not exclusively from south of that border have come and continue to invade us, is just off-the-charts chutzpocrisy.
Has the Republican National Committee learned nothing from the likes of George Stephanopoulos, Martha Raddatz and Candy Crowley? Quite obviously, not. Despite mendacious, orbiting toxic gas-giant Chris Crisco naming him Donald “Duck” (get it?!), Trump ducking these back to back fiascos was the smart move. That said, they would perhaps not have been the fiascos they were if Trump had backed Harmeet Dhillon instead of Ronna Romney McDaniel to be chairman of the RNC. You just have to shake your head at that.
New ‘Drag University’ program at Princeton to fund students’ budding drag careers
A new “Drag University” program launched at Princeton University will train students in the “artform.”
The program is offered through the school’s Gender + Sexuality Resource Center and is open to all undergraduate and graduate students interested in the world of drag, according to the center’s Instagram page.
Throughout the 2023-24 school year, enrolled participants will cover an array of topics, including the history of drag, “Sewing 101,” choreography, face painting, photoshoots and other topics, according to the program’s registration form.
Once again, a GOP primary debate was designed to be an ongoing game of “Gotcha!” These dog and pony shows have never been designed to highlight differences between the candidates regarding issues that matter to Republican voters, and they seem to be getting worse. The questions are awful, and many seem as if they were scripted by the DNC, even when Fox News hosts the debate.
Fox News has historically been awful at these things. It’s as if the FNC moderators are determined to pretend to be MSNBC Lite in an effort to prove that they don’t actually lean right.
As for the FNC cohost — Univision had ZERO business being at a Republican primary debate. There was absolutely nothing to be gained by including a hostile network.
The big question then is: Why is the GOP still letting this crap happen?
Let’s look at that. This is all GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel’s doing. The woman with perhaps the worst track record of any GOP chair in history. The party has hemorrhaged governorships and seats in Congress since she’s been in charge.
Who was her most prominent supporter when she was running for a fourth term after presiding over three elections that were unmitigated disasters for the GOP?
Oh yeah, Donald Trump.
Love and Gun Control?
I hope you’ve fallen in love. It is an exciting time when your new partner is simply beautiful and the world is full of possibilities. Eventually, the honeymoon ends and you find out that all relationships take work. Now that you see your partner’s flaws, you wonder how you overlooked them before.
The theory of gun-control might be beautiful, but the reality of disarming the good guys is heart-breakingly ugly. The theory is that we can make criminals harmless by regulating the people who obey the law. When that doesn’t work, the gun-control idealists say we need more and more laws to reach their utopia. Eventually, we realize that the honeymoon is over and that the 23-thousand firearms regulations we have today have made us less safe. It is more than a cliché to say that a pro-gun activist is a liberal who was mugged. I’ve met them and heard their stories. I want all of us to learn from them.
In theory, we can regulate honest people so extensively that we disarm the bad guys. We’ve never seen that happen anywhere or at any time. Prohibition is a beautiful theory until you look closely
Kari Lake Claims Ron DeSantis Was King Of Covid Lockdowns
Once upon a time, Kari Lake thought Ron DeSantis was the greatest! Not anymore. According to Kari, he was the leader in mandating lockdowns and Covid vaccines!
Former candidate for Arizona Governor and Trump surrogate Kari Lake appeared on a podcast today claiming Florida Governor Ron DeSantis closed beaches and mandated masks and Covid vaccines.
“Let us not forget that DeSantis also shut the beaches down,” said Lake, who lost her bid for Governor against Democrat Katie Hobbs in 2020. “DeSantis took a page out of Gavin Newsom’s playbook. Despite what he says he shut the beaches down. He did force vaccines. He did force face masks on our kids.”
That’s quite a different tune from a year ago! Now Ron DeSantis is the enemy. Yet last year he was the undisputed champion with BDE!
While she remarked during her own gubernatorial campaign last year that “Every GOP Governor in the country looks to DeSantis for leadership on how to run a state,” and relished a comparison to him, calling it “the greatest compliment you could pay me.”
In another instance last August, she declared that DeSantis “has bigger – ok, wait let me think about how I wanna word this, my staff always says whatever you do, do not say balls – so I’m not gonna say it. That guy has a backbone made of steel.”
“I’ll tell you what he’s got, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it or not, but he’s got BDE. Anybody know what that means? Ask your kids about it later,” she added, referencing the acronym for “Big Dick Energy.”
