Ace of Spades

Good morning, kids. The big story this morning is mass organized terrorism in Philadelphia over the sane decision to drop murder charges for a cop who shot and killed some scumbag who pulled a knife on him during a routine traffic stop. That of course is not the real heart of the story. That is a myth, equally to the fiction that what is happening is both spontaneous and justified. What’s going on is organized, anarcho-terrorism straight up.

Mass looting is being reported all over Philadelphia tonight. There are accounts of Center City stores being cleaned out by looters, including Lululemon, the Apple Store, a Foot Locker near the Liberty Bell, and many others . . .

. . . According to a Twitter/X post from PhillyCrimeUpdate, emergency response switchboards are lit up with calls. . .

. . . There are unconfirmed reports of looters livestreaming their crimes, monitoring police scanners, and coordinating their efforts on social media. . .

. . . Not surprisingly, the District Attorney’s Office, headed by Soros DA Larry Krasner, announced that it would appeal the decision. Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney inflamed the situation by tweeting his support for the man who pulled a knife on police officers:

My thoughts are with Eddie Irizarry’s family and loved ones today as they continue to seek justice and answers around his death. I trust @philadao will do everything in its power to pursue justice and accountability.

No doubt any criminals arrested tonight will be back on the streets without hours if not minutes. It was just a few years ago that the Philadelphia City Council cut $33 million from the police budget. Krasner’s office stopped requiring cash bail for a wide range of crimes, including theft and receiving stolen property, in 2019. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, “Krasner… believes the policy is making Philadelphia safer in the long term: ‘When you don’t tear apart people’s lives, and when you keep them in contact with the things that keep them on course, they are less likely to commit crimes in the future.’”

American Greatness

Finding Unity in a Divided America

We are in the middle of a national identity crisis. Faith, patriotism and hard work have disappeared. Wokeness, gender ideology, and the climate cult have taken their place. We spend so much time celebrating our diversity that we forget the values that bind us together. And I believe deep in my bones that those values still exist. We can take our country back.
– Vivek Ramaswamy, candidate for GOP nomination for U.S. President

Before writing off one of the most interesting candidates to jump onto the national political stage in years, merely because he happens to be saying literally everything you want to hear, peruse what his actual ideological opponents are saying about him. From Voxan attack piece with an incoherent theme that might best be exemplified by this excerpt: “At the root of Ramaswamy’s appeal is the pernicious ‘model minority’ stereotype — a story about self-sufficiency and innate talent woven around the creation of an Asian American professional class in the 1960s — that has since been used to dismantle civil rights, divide communities of color, and perpetuate the myth of America as colorblind.”

According to Vox, and by extension, the American Left, the story of an individual achieving success is divisive. No surprise there. The political currency of the Left, spent lavishly and to dreadful effect, is resentment and fear. America is racist. Capitalism is oppressive. A climate catastrophe is upon us. The blame falls squarely on the shoulders of heterosexual white men, and Vivek Ramaswamy is their stooge.

American Thinker

Where was Antifa on January 6, 2021?

Sometimes, when traveling through the internet, you read something that makes so much sense you think, “Yes, that’s it! That explains so much.” That’s the case for DC Draino’s theory about how the violence on January 6 originated. According to him, we’ve all been missing something right before our eyes.

Beginning in the 1960s, leftist protests involved violence. Thus, leftists violently and theatrically protested the Vietnam War:

New York governor swings and misses at Clarence Thomas over ammo background checks

Either New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is utterly clueless how the legal process works, or she’s intentionally misleading New Yorkers into thinking there’s something nefarious afoot with the Supreme Court and a challenge to her edict imposing background checks on ammo sales throughout the state.

On Tuesday, Hochul indignantly posted on X about Justice Clarence Thomas supposedly granting an “emergency conference” to a lawsuit taking aim at the state’s concealed carry laws.

There’s just one problem for Hochul. As it turns out, almost every word of the governor’s post was incorrect.

Today’s American left really, really hate our individual rights! Or at least they do when those rights are exercised by conservatives!

We noted, a year and a half ago, how President Biden and his leftist minions, proposed the creation of a Ministry of Truth ‘Disinformation Governance Board‘ within the Department of Fatherland Homeland Security, and had chosen Nina Jankowitz, who for months told us that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation, to head it.

On April 25th, she told us how she feels about #FreedomOfSpeech:

I shudder to think about if free speech absolutists were taking over more platforms, what that would look like for the marginalized communities . . . which are already shouldering . . . disproportionate amounts of this abuse.

Then came Helen Ubiñas, who has a very visible platform as a regular columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer, claiming that Freedom of Speech is dangerous and harmful to people like her:
