The biggest Marxist Moron walking the earth, and making an ass of himself on Twitter Mehdi came for Governor DeSantis, and shot himself in the foot! Well to be fair, he emptied the magazine in his foot!

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ national profile continues to grow, with the most recent growth spurt being due to his willingness to play hardball and force proponents of sanctuary cities to put their money where their mouths are on illegal immigration.

Well, when DeSantis started doing this, he wasn’t counting on MSNBC host, super sleuth, and all-around genius Mehdi Hasan getting involved. But Mehdi Hasan got involved. Oh, you’d better believe he got involved. He dug up a bombshell that should not only stop DeSantis’ re-election campaign in its tracks, but should put an end to DeSantis’ suspected political ambitions.

Brace yourselves, folks:

Luigia’s gamble proved to be a smart one. Their ship, the Patria, made it to New York, landing on February 21st. On February 5th while they were at sea, the U.S. passed the Immigration Act of 1917 which was intended to limit undesirable southern and eastern European immigrants such as Luigia and her family. Fortunately, it wasn’t implemented until May 1st. Otherwise, she and her daughters could have been denied entry due to the freshly imposed literacy requirement. They had squeezed in with a margin of ten weeks.

SO, she came here LEGALLY Someone would have to be really stupid to miss that, and would likely be truly embarrassed if they missed that. I mean, such an idiot would likely be a laughing stock. Surely, a SUPER JOURNALIST like Mehdi Hasan is wayyyyyyy too smart for that, right Mehdi? Right? Oh, Mehdi, you silly stupid hack!

California Rep. Karen Bass (C)ommunist has two guns stolen

Well, well, well, elitism anyone?

Karen Bass is a U.S. Congresswoman who is currently running for office as the Mayor of Los Angeles. She is a hardcore leftist, so much so that she called a prominent Communist Party USA member, not just a friend, but also a mentor. She is consistently in favor of gun control measures. And on Saturday, she announced that someone broke into her home and stole two of her guns:

Candidate for Los Angeles mayor and U.S. Rep. Karen Bass says her home was burglarized overnight.
Bass said Saturday afternoon that her home had been broken into late Friday evening and two firearms were stolen, “despite being safely and securely stored.”

I have no problem whatsoever with Bass possessing firearms. While I disagree with her politically, she’s a law-abiding citizen, and I believe this would be a safer, more polite country if every law-abiding citizen-owned firearms.

The issue, however, is that Bass is not only for gun control, she REALLY supports draconian gun laws that trample the second amendment.

Here’s a list of gun control initiatives Bass supports (culled from here, here, here):

Forcing gun dealers to report all sales to the federal government
Banning magazines holding more than ten magazines
Requiring mandatory background checks for all firearm sales (including private exchanges)
Reinstating the federal assault weapons ban
Requiring background checks to purchase ammunition
Banning “bullet buttons”
Banning lending guns to one’s own family members without a background check
Repealing “stand your ground” laws

Yep, pretty radical if you ask me.

The Other McCain breaks the news. Which was, sadly, very predictable! But now, where can the wokers get their Lesbian Vegan Doughnut fix?

When I first saw this story, the bland headline (“Frederick Doughnut Shop Workers Say Business Shut Down Without Paying Them”) did not prepare me for the wonderfulness I would ultimately find:
A doughnut shop in Frederick, Maryland, abruptly shut down last week, and workers said they’re owed weeks in pay.
Glory Doughnuts & Diner on W. Patrick Street felt like home, its employees said. That all changed early Friday; the landlord shut the shop down over months of unpaid rent.
Without warning, 10 people were out of a job. They said they knew the business had been struggling, and some hadn’t been paid for several pay periods.
“They had us working when they didn’t know if they were ever going to be able to pay us,” former general manager Kiska Greenberg said Monday.
Ex-employee Shelby Turner said she was disappointed.
“I really cared for them. I felt like they were part of the family,” Turner said.

Sad, but, really, who could not see this coming? OH wait, of course, LEFTISTS couldn’t because WOKE AS F@#* Go read it all folks.

NEW YORK, NY — New York Governor Kathy Hochul recently informed New York Republicans that they’re not welcome in her state. But lo, a chosen one of burnt papaya hue, Donald Trump, approached her and demanded that she let his people go. The Republicans’ punishments then worsened, with Hochul ordering that they have to make bricks without any straw and severely increasing their tax burdens.

New York Mayor Eric Adams has become a darling of sorts on the left. After running for the position on a “law and order” platform, it appears he might be more concerned with furthering the tenets of wokeism than with getting criminals off the streets. The mayor came under scrutiny after a report revealed that he instructed city agencies to send him pictures of potential hires. But the question is: Why does he seem unconcerned about running afoul of civil rights law?

Politico reported Thursday that Mayor Adams’ new move is ostensibly designed to foster diversity in the city’s ranks. The candidates are seeking positions “ranging from assistant commissioner to departmental press secretary,” according to the report.
The mayor’s office insists that this practice is nothing more than a way to help Adams “recognize his employees in a workforce of some 330,000,” but several officials argue that this is just way to push for more diversity. From Politico:
“Of nine current and past officials interviewed for this story, most voiced concern that the practice is already leading to staffing decisions based more on race and ethnicity than merit, even if they said they support a diversified workforce. And nearly all of them said it has added another obstacle to an already slow hiring process.”

Trying go push any type of “diversity” as the left defines it, is a fool’s errand. “Diversity” looks at what? Skin color, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, etc. None of these speak to talent, common sense, work ethic, positive attitudes, or anything else important. The idea behind it might be, at best, well intended. But, it will always fail in creating a talented, skilled dedicated work force, because the strategy does not hinge on the best people, but on, again, meaningless things like race, gender, and so on. And oh yes, it does something else too. It erodes moral, and incentive, and replaces them with resentment. As I said, it is a fool’s errand, obviously, Mayor Adams prefers foolishness and virtue signaling to building the best team he can.

Pretty much every American gun owner knows you cannot trust Democrats with our 2nd amendment. And this, from American Thinker teaches that lesson yet again

Democrat Rep. David N “Spare Me The B——- about Constitutional Rights” Cicilline and others have said the quiet part out loud: they want to ban almost all semi-automatic weapons in common use.

If you wondered why the nation’s socialist news cabal American Pravda suddenly decided to drop the terms “assault weapon” and “assault rifle” from their propaganda lexicon, your answer was soon forthcoming in their triumphant announcement of their next onslaught against your sensible civil rights: “Democrats push for 1st semi-automatic gun ban in 20 years.”

In a tyrannical two-for-one special, not only have the enemies of liberty of the fascist far left admitted that the whole point of this was to ban weapons in common use, but they’re also tacitly defying the United States Supreme Court ruling District of Columbia v. Heller.

This video from pro-freedom patriot Colion Noir gives a good rundown on the facts in this case.

Most damning is this exchange between Dan Bishop (R) and chairman of the Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler (D) in a congressional committee meeting during the markup of the bill on July 20, 2022:

Bishop: Is there anyone on the other side that would dispute that this bill would ban weapons that are in common use in the United States today?

Nadler: Yeah, that’s the point of the bill.

Bishop: To clarify, Mr. Chairman, you’re saying it is the point of the bill to ban weapons that are in common use in the United States today?

Nadler: Yes, the problem is they are in common use.

Oh Rep Jerry Waddler, I mean Nadler. Could these miscreant wanna be dictators be any more clear in their mission? And, my friends do not be so foolish as believe that any semi-automatic will not eventually be banned if we keep handing power to miscreants who abhor our Constitution, and self-defense.

As Daniel Greenfield notes, the war on working for yourself, is in the crosshairs of the left

Last Wednesday, hundreds of truckers protested at the Los Angeles-Long Beach port, some trucks slowed down traffic on the 110 while others took part by refusing to take on loads.
Their message was timed not just for Los Angeles County voters who backed the leftists threatening to put them out of work, but for retired general Stephen Lyons.
The truckers had a simple message for Lyons and his boss, they shouted it and waved it on signs, “No to AB5.” But Lyons had little to offer the independent truckers fighting mandatory unionization by California Democrats and their union allies except, “We need to retain drivers because they’re critical to our economy.”
With 70,000 California owner-operator truckers trying to figure out if they can even work, that’s not likely.
The economic apocalypse arrived some years ago with AB5. Widely hated by freelancers, but championed by unions and their corrupt political allies who run California, the measure effectively made it impossible for many freelancers to continue working in the state.

The bill targeted free lancers. Like people who drive for Lyft, or Uber. And really, anyone who does “bit work”. Anyone who wants to work when they choose, in whatever industry offers such work. Before physical issues arose, I worked for several outfits that did private events. I would get a text that an event was upcoming, and if I was available, I could offer to work. It was easy, I loved bartending, and the pay was really good. Sixteen bucks an hour for my time spent working, plus tips? It was fun, flexible, and it suited my need for a couple of years. Why would anyone want to take that option rom people? POWER!

California Democrats are determined to turn independent owner-operators into employees and union members churning out cash and votes for their political party.
But independent truckers aren’t giving up.
“They just don’t want us little guys to make it,” John Wiggins, an owner-operator told The Trucker. “That is why I am out here protesting. It’s a damn shame.”

Go read it all. The unions have devolved over time, they are far more about CASH, POWER and POLITICS than about protecting workers. If they ever got their way, we would all be UNION WORKERS, no matter what we wanted.
