IT IS CLIMATE CHANGE!!!!
You hear it every time there is a storm, wildfire, tornado, tsunami, flood, heat wave, or winter storm. The weather is deadlier, more dangerous, and it is all because climate change. Animal, at From Bear Creek, does not beg to differ, he damn well, demands to differ call BS!
In a recent Substack post, Michael Shellenberger points out how the legacy media is lying about climate and hurricane occurrences. Excerpt:
Over the last several weeks, many mainstream news media outlets have claimed that hurricanes are becoming more expensive, more frequent, and more intense because of climate change.
- The Financial Times reported that “hurricane frequency is on the rise.”
- The New York Times claimed, “strong storms are becoming more common in the Atlantic Ocean.”
- The Washington Post said, “climate change is rapidly fueling super hurricanes.”
- ABC News declared, “Here’s how climate change intensifies hurricanes.”
- Both the FT and N.Y. Times showed graphs purporting to show rising hurricane frequency using data from the U.S. government’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
All of those claims are false.
False, fallacious, incorrect, untrue, BS, etc. So, why would our media lie? So, you might ask, why IS the cost of these storms so much higher now? Well, click on through, and read for yourself. This is the quietest hurricane season in 30 years. Must be that climate change.
