Oregon, apparently parts of it anyway, do not comprehend self-defense, natural rights, or common sense.
Oregonians will get to vote on statewide gun-control legislation this November, the Oregon Secretary of State’s office confirmed Monday.
Initiative Petition 17, also known as the Reduction of Gun Violence Act, earned enough valid signatures to qualify for the election. The petition garnered 131,671 valid signatures, almost 20,000 more than it needed to land on the ballot.
The measure would require people to get a permit and pass a background check before buying a gun, and it would prevent the sale of gun magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
Go read it all. This would make law abiding Oregonians grovel and beg for an “invented right” to even be able to purchase a gun. This will not lower violent crime, or “save lives”. It will simply make it harder and more expensive of course for good people to own guns. Sure it will also give fools who believe punishing the good makes the bad good plenty to virtue signal over. But this approach is all they know I suppose
