Read Time:9 Second

Right now, no, I feel like I have been drained…….totally drained. Physically, emotionally, mentally. Got some encouraging words? Damn I could use them, life is just no fun right now.

  1. We all go through down times, it’s part of being human. Getting older can make it worse, but when I think of all of those who didn’t get the chance to grow old I chastise myself for being selfish.
Winter blahs are normal, as the days get shorter and colder out instincts are to conserve energy that might be hard to replace. Not having as much sunshine each day hits some folks hard. I’ve worked nights too many years, but winter still takes its toll. Spring is coming, and we’ll be able to get out and do more in a few months. The days are getting longer now, time to start planning next year’s garden and looking at how you want to improve your living space. Keep your mind active and explore some new ideas, that may help fend off some of the blahs.

  2. Just a quick note, on July 6 2022 I was informed my metastatic melanoma cancer had spread from my lymph nodes under my left arm to both lungs, adrenal glands, bones, patrilineal lining and left buttocks cheek. I was told I had several weeks to a month maybe two to live. I have fought it. The end of this October I was told it now spread to my small intestine. I will fight that also. There is always another day to fight, as long as that is what is in your heart. I pray for you to have a strong heart.

    1. Hope u get well. My prayers are with you. Thanks for your encouragement, my pain is more of the heart break variety. No, not romantic heartbreak, but friends and family related, just cannot talk about it yet

  3. Dear Doug:

Your kind linking to my scruffy little blog has made a difference in my life and the lives of my readers, just as your work has made a difference in the lives of yours. We pray best when we pray not for an easy life, but for the strength to navigate life.

  4. I am right there with you. I am totally drained and exhausted. I thank god for my wife and my family. We must swallow our pride and except all the help from God and others.

  5. There is no other way to go other than keep going forward. As Churchill put it so well ‘Keep buggering on.’.
