Texas AG Ken Paxton Sends Warning to Pro-ESG Companies
On Wednesday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-Texas) released an advisory providing guidance on how the state will enforce recently-passed laws cracking down on companies that engage in Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) practices.
As reported by the Daily Caller, Paxton’s guidance will encompass numerous other guidelines that the state will use to restrict the state government’s business with certain companies, based on whether or not such companies boycott energy companies, discriminate against firearms manufacturers and distributors, or oppose Israel.
A law was passed recently forbidding the Texas government from entering into a contract with a value of $100,000 or more involving any company that engages in any of these practices. Paxton’s advisory is meant to remind all companies about the parameters of the new law

ISRAEL’S WORK PERMITS FOR GAZA ENABLED THE HAMAS ATTACK
Among the litter of guns, korans, and maps discarded by the Hamas terrorists whose bodies lie alongside bullet-riddled vehicles and dusty roads are green Gaza IDs with work permits. Normally residents of the Hamas territory can’t enter Israel, but work permits allowed over 20,000 Gazans to enter Israel. When some returned, it was as Hamas rapists and killers.
The Hamas invasion succeeded so well because the terrorists had an intimate knowledge of the communities they were targeting because they had worked there or had intelligence from those who had worked there. The attackers had detailed maps and building layouts. One woman whose husband and son were murdered said that the Hamas terrorists knew the names of the people, how many children they had and even which of them owned dogs.
Last year, Secretary of State Blinken addressed a J Street even and told the anti-Israel lobby that the Biden administration had pushed Israel to “improve the lives of Palestinians” by, among other things, “issuing thousands of work permits for Palestinians in Gaza”.
The number of exits from Gaza into Israel rose sharply under the Biden administration and the left-wing Bennett-Lapid government which handed out an unprecedented number of work permits.

The Calgary Herald is on record advocating for Canadian LNG (liquified natural gas) production. Good for them. That will help the U.S. as well.
A new report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) projects a slowdown in the growth of natural gas consumed in the world, forecasting it will peak in North America in 2023 before declining next year.
Yet, it also highlights the opportunity ahead for countries that are willing and able to export liquefied natural gas (LNG), particularly the United States.
It’s just one more reason Canada needs to ensure it has a firm spot in the global LNG sector — something industry leaders and energy experts continue to highlight, even with last month’s projections by the IEA that oil, coal and natural gas demand will peak this decade.

It has been 22 years since we saw crowds throughout the Middle East celebrating the murder of 3,000 civilians—and since newspapers had daily “idiot watch” notices of American intellectuals defending radical Islamist mass murderers. And now the madness is back again, and we are witnessing the recrudescence of normalizing radical Islamic terrorists abroad.
I suppose the theory is that no one in America cares much about radical Islamists foaming at the mouth, whether abroad or here. And the result is that they are empowered and their defense of murder is growing—yet its hubris will earn an almost-certain response, an anger slowly but insidiously growing at radical Islam.
A Middle East Policy in Ruins
The current Biden appeasement of Iran and gift of billions of dollars in aggregate to the West Bank and Gaza are now, by bipartisan consensus, unsustainable. The only supporters of that lethal madness left are the embarrassments of BLM, the Squad, the Democratic Socialists of America, and the campus crowd.
Their collective hatred of Jews and Israelis was manifested in their delight over the post mortem mutilations of murdered women and children. And why—even before Israel had responded with air attacks—were leftists and Islamists suddenly celebrating the news of the executions of more than 1,200 Jews? It was instinctual, a Pavlovian response.
