DeSantis Brings Home Stranded Americans From Israel

The State Department will charge Americans to leave a war zone. Governor Ron DeSantis had other plans.

When Hamas attacked just over a week ago, Americans were stranded all across Israel. Senator Cory Booker and Congressman Dan Goldman were both in Israel at that moment. They managed to get out before all the civilian airlines stopped flying into Tel Aviv. But many Americans were simply stuck, unable to get to the airport before the flights stopped, and now with no way to return home.

But never fear, the State Department is here. They did come up with a plan, it was eerily reminiscent of Afghanistan – you’re paying for us to fly you out, and if you don’t, you don’t go.

The U.S. government will provide charter flights to cities in Europe, White House spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday. “We know there is a demand signal out there.”

Expected routes include Tel Aviv to Athens, Reuters reported. It is unclear how long the offer will last but it might just a few days, airline officials said.

A State Department email seen by Reuters said it plans to offer transit options beginning on Friday “but it will take some period of time to schedule everyone seeking to depart.”

“If you choose to take this departure assistance, transportation will be by air to Athens or Frankfurt, or sea from Haifa to Cyprus,” it added.

The email seen by Reuters said “Americans will be asked to sign an agreement to repay the U.S. government prior to departure and should be prepared to arrange your own lodging and onward travel from Greece, Germany or Cyprus to your final destination.”

When flights were being arranged out of Afghanistan, it was estimated that a single person’s ticket on those chartered flights would run $2000. This time, that chartered flight won’t even get you all the way back to the United States – just to another country that will allow you to buy ANOTHER ticket to get back home. By the time the State Department got off their butts to announce the chartered flights, Representative Cory Mills of Florida had already gone to Israel to pick up 32 stranded people.

Well, Governor DeSantis wasn’t going to sit around and wait. He signed an executive order on Thursday to get chartered flights from Florida to Israel, to bring stranded Floridians back home.

‘Squad’ Members Were Boosting Hamas Long Before It Beheaded Babies

Congress has turned a blind eye to the far left’s dangerous and inappropriate partnerships with Hamas front organizations.

In the wake of a brutal terrorist attack on Israel, members of the ultra left-wing “Squad” in the U.S. House released public statements calling for a “ceasefire” in Israel, after terrorists went door-to-door on Oct. 7 indiscriminately murdering families and collecting hostages. Statements from the Congress members, many of whom have pandered to pro-Hamas groups in the U.S., effectively deny Israel’s right to defend itself and suggest that the atrocities are part of a larger tit-for-tat “cycle of violence.”

In other words, Israel had it coming, and it should lay down and “de-escalate” in the face of a terrorist invasion by land, air, and sea — even as Israeli hostages are paraded naked and bleeding through the streets of Gaza

Such callous expressions represent the latest and most heinous in a series of statements and political maneuvers from the far-left wing of the Democrat Party, which has sought for years to single out and demonize the Jewish state of Israel. The same outspoken leftists have patronized radical anti-Israel groups, showing favor to Islamist organizations identified in U.S. courts as possible fronts for Hamas.

Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Ayanna Presley, D-Mass., Cori Bush, D-Mo., and Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., each published press releases and personal statements in response to the early morning raid by Hamas terrorists that took the lives of more than 1,200 Israelis, including 25 Americans, and resulted in more than 3,000 wounded. In each case, their comments began with empty platitudes for the violence experienced on both sides, before they turned to casting blame on Israel and justifying Hamas violence.

AOC Upset Over her EV Dysfunction

AOC’s admission over her Tesla purchase sparks debate online: ‘Do as I say, not as I do’

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a strong supporter of both the environment and American unions, Electrek reported. That’s why she wants to trade in her Tesla Model 3 for a union-made EV. Just one problem: she can’t find one.

The issue came up in a recent interview on “Face The Nation,” Electrek revealed. In the clip, AOC speaks about her need for a vehicle with the range to safely travel between Washington, D.C., and Queens, New York, a distance of 240 miles. At the time that she bought her car in 2020, a Tesla was her best option

WashPost Hates Cancel Culture When It’s Applied to Leftist Anti-Semites

The Washington Post has suddenly become concerned about cancel culture…when it comes around for people who blame the vicious murders of innocent people in Israel…on Israel. Timothy Bella began with the sob story of New York University law student Ryna Workman, who sounded like she lost her mind:

Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life,” Workman wrote. “This regime of state-sanctioned violence created the conditions that made resistance necessary. I will not condemn Palestinian resistance.”

But the post came with a consequence: Workman no longer has a job after law school.

“These comments profoundly conflict with Winston & Strawn’s values as a firm,” the Chicago-based law firm wrote in a news release. “Accordingly, the Firm has rescinded the law student’s offer of employment.”

The Israel-Gaza war is still in its first week, but some people in the United States and around the world have lost their jobs, or have faced discipline or backlash, for their criticism of Israel. The backlash has been directed toward people of different backgrounds, from a law student and an airline pilot to a basketball writer and an adult-content influencer.

Decolonization is why Leftists Support Hamas

Hamas murders innocents to advance Islam. Islam is repressive, theocratic, imperialistic, oppressive of women, and violent toward homosexuals — just like progressives bitterly accuse conservatives of being. So why do liberals support Hamas, even in the aftermath of horrific terrorist atrocities? Decolonization is why.

Just as the liberal establishment discriminates against Asians because they are “white-adjacent,” it supports Hamas because Israel is America-adjacent. Despite the Jewish nation existing long before Islam, it is seen as an expansion of Western Civilization, which leftists hate.

They speak in euphemisms, lest regular people figure out what they are up to. The euphemism for eradicating Western Civilization is “anticolonialism.”

Democrat pols may recite dutiful denunciations of Hamas, but the high priests of their religion — i.e., college professors — make clear whose side the ruling class is on. At UCLA, students can reportedly earn extra credit by imbibing pro-Hamas propaganda:

The “Emergency Teach-In On The Crisis in Palestine” was convened Wednesday on the Los Angeles campus by professors Saree Makdisi of the school’s English department and Sherene Razack, chair of the gender studies department.

  1. Not sure why taxpayers need to pay for American’s flight out of Israel. You willing got to a place that has had rocket barrages/terrorist attacks for years, pay to get yourself out.

    1. Well, if we spend way too much on wasteful crap, we should cut that frankly. I have no issue with us rescuing Americans in such fixes. America first, Americans first

      1. I have no problem rescuing American from countries that had a natural disaster like earthquakes/tsunamis and the like. However failure to exercise common sense and thinking every country operates like thing do in CONUS, is a “YOU” problem.
