The Supreme Court has ruled in at least one, and I believe two, cases saying that the cops have NO DUTY to protect you, not even if you have a restraining order. You are literally on your own.

It’s basically a highlight [reel] of just how important the right to keep and bear arms is for us, too,” Heritage Foundation senior legal fellow Amy Swearer posted on X, previously known as Twitter, detailing the cases.

Another day that ends in a -y.What happened: Erica Berry, a female writer from Portland, Ore., announced in a New York Times guest essay that she brings up climate change “on first dates” and refuses to pursue relationships with men who don’t share her obsessive thoughts and anxiety about global warming.
What she said: The author describes breaking up with her last boyfriend because he wasn’t enthusiastic about having constant “conversations about our planet’s future” and how local officials could “support vulnerable citizens through better infrastructure.”* “My boyfriend was supportive of my focus, but he didn’t share it,” Berry writes of her ex. “When I brought up global warming, he’d often try to comfort me: to wrap me in a hug, cue up an old episode of ‘Seinfeld,’ offer a CBD gummy.”
* Berry has started dating again in the past year. “This time, I am swallowing my fear of sounding too anxious and am talking about climate change early on,” she writes. “I don’t presume my own perspective is right, but I do know from my last relationship that I’m tired of trying to be chill. I can’t care any less than I do.”
* She has found that “talking about how global warming affects our lives, however casually, becomes a sort of canary in the coal mine for learning about people’s broader beliefs and behaviors,” such as “how they engage with science and systemic inequality

Amidst a budget crisis, Pennsylvania State University offers in-state tuition rates to qualifying illegal immigrants while American citizens across the country are charged out-of-state tuition.
For reference, in-state tuition is roughly half of the out-of-state price tag ($19,284 compared to $38,651). Furthermore:
… foreign students who legally immigrated to the United States to study at Penn State paid more than even out-of-state students, as tuition and fees amounted to $40,151.

More electric vehicles are being pumped out of car factories than ever before — but some dealers don’t want them.
Electric-car inventory has been piling up on dealership lots this year as companies up their EV production, leading some dealers to say enough is enough. Some are telling automakers they don’t want any more until they can sell what’s sitting, several dealers told Insider.
“We have turned away EV inventory,” said Scott Kunes, the chief operating officer of Kunes Auto and RV Group, which sells Detroit brands as well as Nissan and Mitsubishi in the Midwest. “We need to ensure that we have a good turn on it.”
Automakers are “asking us to make a large investment,” Kunes added, “and we’re just wanting to see some return on that investment.”
