And then, they cancelled horses

It’s kinda like when a little kid closes his eyes to make you disappear, isn’t it?

They’ll keep his name on the school, but that plaque’s ‘gotta go’. Idiots…

The plaque honoring Traveller, placed over the horse’s gravesite, was removed from it’s place outside Lee Chapel, which is a National Historic Landmark as part of a series of removals. In July, the school got rid of plaques enshrining the room where Lee took his oath of office as president of the school in 1865 and the other denoting his office from 1865-68. In 2021, the school announced a plan devoted to concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion that removed much of the general’s imprint on the school.

Then there is this poison pill

Proposed Ohio constitutional amendment would end qualified immunity for state workers [More]

I’m well aware of the abuses. That said, with the backing of Buckeye collectivists and BLM, why do I get the feeling this is less about ensuring appropriate “Only Ones” conduct and more about Cloward-Piven wealth transfers and turning urban areas into Portland?

Just shoot a few of these miscreants, watch it stop

Crime rising…Blame Democrats!!

Murders in Washington DC are soaring. The murderers usually use guns, yet DC is has some of the most extensive gun-control regulations of any city. How can this possibly be?

The Democrat party ruled DC for the last six decades. There are high paying jobs in the city. There is a social safety net, yet the murder rate is going through the roof. Lately, DC’s murderers have been killing about two people a night and wounding many more. The 161 people murdered so far this year is a 20 percent increase from year to year. That doesn’t seem possible given the laws in place.

According to the Gifford’s gun-control advocacy group, Washington DC is one of the most stringently gun-controlled places in the entire nation. Here are some, but only a small fraction, of Washington DC’s numerous gun-control laws.

  • Licensing and background checks of each legal gun owner
  • Universal background checks before any legal firearms sale
  • Licensing of each legal handgun dealer
  • Removal of a legal gun owner’s firearms without the owner appearing in court
  • Prohibition on legal firearms possession after charges of domestic violence
  • Prohibition on legal ownership of many contemporary firearms
  • Legal restrictions on magazine capacity
  • Mandatory waiting periods before taking possession of a firearm after passing a background check
  • Mandatory firearms storage laws
  • Restrictions on the open carry of a firearm
  • Restrictive concealed carry laws for legal gun owners with many “gun-free” zones

A corrective theory of everything

“There is a thought that stops thought. And that is the only thought that ought to be stopped” — GK Chesterton, debunking the idea that classical liberalism must contain the seeds of its own deconstruction.

When free speech-absolutist David French paints the spectacle of trannies twerking for toddlers a “blessing of liberty” — as a grand and glorious paean to the righteousness of Enlightenment thought distilled to its perfect essence — he is happily, and he believes properly, exploiting the paradox in classical liberalism that seems to justify its implied mandate that any and all ideas be accepted in the intellectual marketplace. Failure to follow such a rule is to run afoul of the implied universalism inherent to that philosophical paradigm. It is impure. And so ungodly.

PJ Media Kill the Cartels?

GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis said he would use “whatever force we need to” to wipe out Mexican drug cartels if he is elected president. During a campaign stop on Thursday in Iowa, a voter asked DeSantis if he would use drone strikes and military force to take out the Mexican drug cartels.

“Yes, I’ve already said that we will,” DeSantis answered. “We will lean in against the drug cartels. We will absolutely reserve a right — if they’re invading our country and killing our people — we have a right to defend this country.”

“We have the right to hold them accountable, and it’s not just that they happen to come over our border,” he continued. “And if Mexico’s not going to help us with that, well, then we’re going to have to do what we have to do.”

DeSantis added that the cartels are “killing tens of thousands of Americans” annually and are akin to a “foreign terrorist organization,” according to The Hill.

MOONBATTERY- CRAZY! Paging crazy PUT down the donuts and back away from the children

Donuts-CRAZY! Ice Cream? Also CRAZY!

Nothing is safe from Democrats, not even ice cream trucks. Brooklyn City Councilweenie Lincoln Restler finds them environmentally incorrect:

Restler’s proposal advocates for a mandatory shift from fuel and diesel-powered ice cream trucks to more environmentally friendly alternatives such as electric or solar generators.

As always with envirotyranny, there is a downside:

While the shift to electric or solar generators is viewed as a positive step toward reducing pollution, some operators fear the associated costs might threaten their livelihoods.

However, to quote liberal luminary Shrillary Rotten Clinton,

“I can’t be responsible for every undercapitalized small business in America.”

We have a climate emergency, after all. The climate doesn’t like ice cream trucks.

Also, there is competition with the Left Coast to consider. Squeaks Restler:

“California is working on a similar effort. I hope we can continue to take the lead in New York City for climate justice.”
