TOP 10 Favorite Guitarists

After doing My MT. Rushmore of guitarists, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, and Eric Clapton, I started naming my Top 10 by featuring Jeff Beck yesterday.

Today, I add David Gilmour of Pink Floyd.

Here is Turning Away, the solo at the end might be the most meaningful solo to me I have ever heard. I heard the song dozens and dozens of times, and thought it the best Floyd did. But, then, one day in 2010, a few days after I had a friend, who was very special to me, and who restored my belief in friendship, suddenly, stopped speaking to me, I heard this song, and, the pain, just flooded out, the heart break was still there, it took me a few years to fully get “over it” but, that solo, WOW! THAT was the first step
