The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), an LGBT activist organization, declared a nationwide state of emergency for LGBT people Tuesday over legislation it believes targets gay and transgender people.
The group cited a wave of state legislation, largely spearheaded by Republicans, that it perceives as “anti-LGBTQ+,” including restrictions on cross-sex medical procedures for minors, as justification for the state of emergency, the first such declaration the group has ever made, according to HRC’s website. The declaration provides a guidebook for LGBT individuals to navigate laws between states, a guide to getting involved in activism and an impact report on legislation the HRC considers anti-LGBT.
If any adult can locate a medical professional unprincipled enough to prescribe hormones and/or physically mutilate them instead of getting them the psychological help they need, fine. I really don’t care.
Do it to a child, you belong in prison.
It’s all abnormal, all the alphabet+ stuff, all of it. I know this because when something is normal, nobody needs to spend any time, effort or money trying to normalize it. That’s the key. It’s not abnormal just because of the small percentage of the population involved, that’s not what makes it abnormal at all. Only a small percentage of the population goes kayaking, a perfectly normal behavior, but there’s nobody screaming and yelling, carrying signs, making a special flag, painting the streets, labelling everyone that doesn’t kayak some weird made-up term or writing children’s books trying to shove kayaking in our faces every five minutes and demanding that we have kayakers come talk to congress.
The alphabet people are abnormal. Just stay away from the kids and we’re good.
