How Do You Solve A Problem Like Marjorie?

Okay, she’s not really a problem. At least not in the sense that she is doing disastrous and dangerous deeds to America. You know, like the Joe Biden administration is doing. Take a step back for a moment, and instead of asking how you solve a problem like Marjorie Taylor Greene, ask if she thinks she is doing what her constituents want her to do.

While Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) is outlandish, and her conduct in Congress may be less than ladylike, what is wrong with being feisty and honest? Although, I do have to call into question the chapstick schtick; I mean, come on, man.

She’s not the first Republican to call a President a “Liar!” In 2009, Joe Wilson called out, “You lie,” during Obama’s health care speech in a joint session of Congress. He later apologized for it. Not that any of that makes what MTG did okay.

WWII Veteran Graduates A Tad Late

Meet Fred Taylor.

Fred was attending Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and getting ready to graduate when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Fred was in the Army Air Corps Reserve and his unit was activated immediately.

Fred never had the chance to graduate… until eighty years later.

The Biggest Loser In The 2024 GOP Primary Is The Corporate Media

It’s far too early to know who will come out on top in the unfolding Republican presidential primary, but if recent events are any indication, the corporate media will be its biggest loser.

Technological stutters notwithstanding, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential announcement in a live Twitter spaces event with Elon Musk and David Sacks on Wednesday night offered one glimpse of how candidates can reach audiences in a post-cable world. Without the gatekeeping of media activists, DeSantis had the chance to tell Americans his unfiltered opinions about issues such as the border crisis, woke corporatism, the threat of cancellation (financial or otherwise) to conservatives, digital currencies, and bureaucratic overreach.

He didn’t have to go through a partisan hack at The New York Times or Politico, who would inevitably ask an unsubstantive, bad-faith question like, “How much does your wife resemble Lady Macbeth?” Anyone who wanted to hear what he had to say didn’t have to rely on unserious headlines like “Ron DeSantis continues his quest to make Floridians ignorant” to convey substantive news values like DeSantis’ signing of a bill that blocks taxpayer-funded “diversity, equity, and inclusion” programs at state universities.

The Hidden Truth About Gun Control

I’ve debated gun-control lawyers. They said guns aren’t the answer for personal safety. I’ve come to a single conclusion when I look at the people who want us disarmed. Their actions speak so loud that I can barely hear their words. Some of the strongest and most consistent practitioners of armed defense are the people who espouse gun-control for the rest of us. That is the hidden truth in the gun-control debate.

We could talk about California Senator Diane Feinstein who had a concealed carry permit and told the rest of us to turn in our guns. We could talk about the celebrities who show up to a gun-control march in a limousine and are escorted down the street by their security detail. I’d rather talk about the Godfather of Gun-Control. Let’s look at billionaire and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

I’ve got your ‘white fragility’ right here, my brother

Covington Catholic High School’s Nick Sandmann never tried to stare down a phony Native American activist. Smugly or otherwise. And we all should have known it.

Morgan Bettinger never threatened to run over BLM protesters, nor did she make any of the supposedly racist remarks Zyahna Bryant claimed she did. Bryant — a “social justice” activist and Marxian race hustler — can perhaps be trusted to review a new Applebee’s dessert pie, but on all other subjects, the wise move would be to adopt a skeptical pose when engaging with her, if not simply dismiss out of hand anything spilling from her mouth save maybe a tasty fruit filling.

Michael Brown never said “hands up, don’t shoot!” Jacob Blake is not a hero or a civil rights icon — nor should be George Floyd or Trayvon Martin.

Christian Cooper did indeed threaten to take Amy Cooper’s dog. Justin Neely was a crazed homeless man and career criminal who absolutely threatened people on a subway train. Daniel Penny has never been a white supremacist.

Time and time again, the left creates its own mythology, then repeats it until the rest of us just kind of accept it as at least somewhat fairly described. And that’s a fatal mistake, both intellectually and practically.
