Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald unloaded on the Democratic Party over the weekend, calling them out as authoritarians who did not just want to win, they wanted to criminalize their opposition.
Greenwald began by responding to a tweet from The Prospect managing editor Ryan Cooper, who had complained about the fact that prosecutors had recommended not to indict Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) in relation to a sex-trafficking probe.
Greenwald then Tweeted some hard truth. Cooper was not seeking justice, or truth, he was seeking payback
BINGO! BULLSEYE! YAHTZEE!
LOTS more at The Daily Wire! Including actions against Greenwald for doing his job. Folks, the left is deeply invested not in fighting against “dis-information” but in propagating it!

TheWashington Post Editorial Board tried to freak Americans out by claiming that some communities “will have to be abandoned” completely because it would cost too much money to save them from climate change.
“There are few easy answers, but humanity must — with urgency — prepare now,” The Washington Post Editorial Board declared in a Sept. 18 editorial. The headline was equally inflammatory: “The world’s ice is melting. Humanity must prepare for the consequences.”
This wasn’t the first time that The Post lost its mind over climate change. The liberal paper published two stories in July that signaled imminent climate doom for the U.S. and Europe.
The Post threw around climate buzzwords like “doomsday glacier” and “zombie ice” to prop up a nutty solution — even by the standards of climate change fanatics — that “[a]s harsh as it sounds, there are certain places where it will not make sense to spend lots of money trying to keep back the tides. Some will have to be abandoned.” [Emphasis added].
GO, keep reading, it is like a bad sci-fi movie plot just remember. the Post is trying to scare you, and, making asses of themselves while doing so

The Other McCain thinks that, yes, it is. Me? I agree completely. I mean Fetterman is soft on murderers for God sake
Now, my friends, that goes a tad beyond “soft on crime”. So, there is little doubt that, yes, he IS soft on criminals, violent criminals. The Other McCain has more
A few recent headlines about an important controversy:
This is an important controversy, as I say, because it highlights both Fetterman’s policy toward crime and justice issues, as well as his judgment and honest (or lack thereof). The two convicted murderers Fetterman hired on his campaign staff are Lee and Dennis Horton.
The Horton Brothers are an important issue, they were granted clemency. Their lack of innocence, however, is truth, not fiction. The Other McCain offers up a report on their crime.
The evidence adduced at trial established that on May 31, 1993, [Lee Horton], his brother Dennis Horton (“Dennis”), and a coconspirator Robert Leaf (“Leaf”) robbed Filito’s Bar located at 5th and Hunting Park Avenue. During the course of the robbery, Dennis, who was brandishing a rifle, shot Samuel Alemo multiple times. He later died from his gunshot wounds. Dennis also shot Luz Archella and her daughter Luz Martinez, injuring both. After leaving the bar, the three men fled in a blue automobile. A passerby was able to supply a description of the vehicle and a partial license plate number. A radio call was sent out, which included a description of the three assailants, their vehicle, and the last four digits of the license plate. A police officer observed the vehicle a short time later only a mile from the crime scene and placed [Horton] and his companions under arrest. Police recovered a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle from the backseat of the car as well as a black pellet gun under the front passenger seat. Ballistics testing identified the rifle as the same weapon used during the robbery at Filito’s. [Horton], Dennis, and Leaf were taken to the hospital where Martinez and her daughter, as well as another bar patron Miguel DeJesus, identified them as the robbers. . . . The evidence shows that [Horton] entered the bar with Leaf and Dennis, who were both armed. [Lee Horton] took money from a bar patron while Leaf held a gun to the patron’s head. [Horton] remained present when Dennis opened fire on two other bar patrons and murdered Alemo. He then fled the bar together with Leaf and Dennis, and was arrested with them a short time later. . . . Regardless who opened fire, [Horton] remains liable as an accomplice for any resulting deaths as well as any other crimes committed that night at Filito’s bar during the robbery.
These two men, now serve on Fetterman’s campaign staff. Again, media spin aside, my opinion aside, Fetter hired two convicted murderers on his staff. If that is not soft on crime, then I know not how to define the term frankly. LOTS more at The Other McCain, go read the rest

CNN reporter John Avlon gave the sports media and his own network, CNN, a scathing review for their knee-jerk reactions to the Brigham Young University racist slur story involving Duke’s Rachel Richardson.
Avlon’s take sounded a bit like a journalism 101 class: chastising the media to wait for facts on these volatile stories rather than fueling outrage over unknown details.

Great piece at the Federalist. Our media has not forgotten what journalism is. They have found the ease of the narrative game. No facts needed, just bring the emotional appeals of pretend victims
USA Today published a column on Wednesday claiming it is a right-wing conspiracy to think a Duke volleyball player lied about being racially taunted by Brigham Young University fans at her recent match in Provo, Utah.
“Say, just for argument’s sake, that Rachel Richardson made up this story. You have to believe that she did knowing she was putting not just her volleyball future at risk but her college future as a student at Duke. She’d be forever tarnished as a liar. One of the worst liars. You have to believe she then lied to her dad. Which is possible. Kids lie to their parents, but about this? But also … You’d have to believe she would then let her father go on CNN and repeat that lie,” the author wrote
Thus despite video evidence confirming that he engaged in no threatening or inappropriate behavior, a Utah Valley University student is banned from attending BYU sporting events for life after Duke sophomore volleyball player Rachel Richardson and her teammates accused him of hurling racial slurs at her during their match on Aug. 26.
It’s hard to determine what Richardson believed she heard in a sporting center packed with a noisy, record-setting crowd, but it’s certainly not far-fetched to think CNN or any other corporate media outlet would let someone wielding a narrative the press is eager to amplify go on air without proper vetting.
Do yourself a favor, go read it all. This “story” was just too perfect for our muck raking woke media. That is many things, journalism it ain’t!

“Is it okay to have a conspiracy to get rid of Trump?” host Bill Maker asked guests Rob Reiner and Sen. Amy Klobuchar on his HBO show on Friday. This exchange got considerable online attention. Most of that attention focused on Reiner’s shockingly ignorant disavowal of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Overlooked were the knee-jerk comments by both Reiner and Klobuchar on the subject of January 6. Rather than answer Maher’s question about the suppression of the laptop story, Reiner reflexively retreated to the safe space of January 6. “You know what is not justified,” said Reiner. “Using armed violence to try to kill people in the Capitol.”
Oh Rob Reiner, the walking, talking definition of Useful Idiot! Basically all the comes out of his mouth are Leftist narratives. As Cashill points out, Reiner has never really lived in the real world, he is privileged child that never grew up or learned to think. Senator Klobuchar, however….
Klobuchar seemed even more dangerously misinformed than Reiner on January 6. “We are dealing with a man who used to be the president right now who literally tried to lead an armed insurrection,” said Klobuchar, employing four distinct falsehoods to make her off-topic point.
There was no insurrection. Those who entered the Capitol did not have guns. Yes, Trump could be accused of leading a protest, but not a riot, let alone an insurrection. And were Trump to have led this insurrection “literally,” he would have been waving a flag in the front lines and encouraging the armed patriots behind him to storm the Capitol.
Senator Klobuchar, is of course, too smart to believe the lies she spews. So, she is USING and REPEATING those lies for ideological reasons. That might excuse the lies in the senator’s mind. But that does not them any less destructive to the country, not that she gives the first damn of course.
Go read it all, Cashill points out many flaws in the left’sarmed insurrection narrativewhile also noting that had the FBINOTsuppressed the Hunter Biden Laptop story……the election would have gone differently. But again, narratives. Cashill also makes note of the how the Left acted when Trump was inaugurated.
The subhead of an NBC story is refreshingly specific: “217 people were arrested and six police officers suffered minor injuries after some protesters set fires and smashed windows in the nation’s capital.”
But, again, narratives over facts is the left’s motto
