A lack of public defenders in Portland, Oregon has caused Multnomah County judges to dismiss hundreds of felony cases including cases involving robbery, assault, and harassment.
According to the District Attorney’s office, 300 cases have been dismissed in 2022 through December 9 because of the public defender shortage, two-thirds of which were felony cases.
In November, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said in a statement, “Months into this crisis, many are still waiting for their day in court while others have seen their cases dismissed altogether.”
Schmidt, an outspoken progressive, was elected in 2020 while Portland was engulfed in Antifa-backed riots and violence. Schmidt has been critical of police and implemented significantly relaxed bail reform policies during his tenure.

In the sixth installment of the Twitter Files, journalist Matt Taibbi revealed that Twitter had a “one-big-happy-family” partnership with the FBI to censor content on its platform.
Taibbi released the sixth installment of the Twitter Files document dump, which he dubbed “TWITTER, THE FBI SUBSIDIARY.”
“The #TwitterFiles show something new: agencies like the FBI and DHS regularly sending social media content to Twitter through multiple entry points, pre-flagged for moderation,” Taibbi wrote.
For example, Taibbi revealed that former Twitter Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth exchanged “over 150 emails” with the FBI between January 2020 to November 2022. Further, Taibbi noted that a “surprisingly high number” of the FBI’s correspondence with Twitter were “requests by the FBI for Twitter to take action on election misinformation, even involving joke tweets from low-follower accounts.”
The FBI’s involvement in combatting “misinformation” on social media platforms is a relatively recent development that stemmed from the Democrat narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.
Taibbi said the 2016 Russia collusion hoax was used as a “pretext for building out the censorship machine,” similar to how the September 11 terrorist attacks “inspired the expansion of the security state.”

A recently-paroled felon was charged Tuesday with killing three people and critically wounding another outside a Portage Park bar, where the city’s top cop said he carried out the “heartless” attack after being asked to leave a party for the owner’s niece.

After a “disturbance” at the party, Parsons-Salas was asked to leave, Brown said. He was then caught on surveillance video getting a gun from a vehicle and opening fire during a subsequent confrontation.
Graphic video of the shooting that was shared with the Sun-Times shows a crowd gathering in the street before a gunman begins picking people off, apparently targeting some victims twice and at point-blank range. The video appears to show the shooter get into the passenger side of a dark SUV that drives away.
Mariah Vera, the bar owner’s niece who was hosting the party, had rushed to her father’s side, weeping over him and trying to tend to his wounds when the shooter walked up and shot her in the head, a law enforcement source said.
Vera, 25, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. Brown said she was “fighting for her life.” Her father, Ricky Vera, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene outside his brother’s bar.
Two of Mariah Vera’s friends were also killed: Mercedes Imari, a 24-year-old mother of a young boy and infant twins; and Mario Pozuelos, 26, a “beloved son, brother, nephew [and] cousin,” according to a GoFundMe page launched to cover his funeral costs.
So, a “recently-paroled felon”, who apparently had no trouble getting a weapon, murdered three people, in cold blood. Why was an obviously dangerous out, walking around? What crimeshad he committed to become a felon?
Parsons-Salas has a lengthy criminal background and has served multiple prison stints.
In January 2014, he was charged in a deadly home invasion in Albany Park in which two people were shot to death, according to the defunct neighborhood news outlet DNAinfo Chicago. Parsons-Salas initially faced two counts of first-degree murder, but he pleaded guilty to two counts of armed home invasion, carrying eight-year prison sentences.
Parsons-Salas has also been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to charges of robbery and aggravated battery on a police officer, records show.
YET, he was out and slaughtered three people. This is happening all over the country, YET, dangerous people keep getting light sentences, or are allowed to plead down. And more people get hurt, or worse. That is not justice, that is evil frankly.

How many murders involving decapitation happen in an average year in the United States? Pretty sure the number is small, but when your city is on pace for more than 500 murders a year — as is the case in “Killadelphia” — a certain number of statistical outliers can be expected:
Since the beginning of the year, Philadelphia police have been called 21 times to the Lawndale house where a woman was found decapitated this week, a law enforcement source said Thursday. Seven of those calls to the two-story home on the 300 block of Magee Avenue were for reports of domestic disturbances. One of the calls was for a person with a gun and some of the others were reports of fights between a man and a woman, the source said. It was unclear whether any of those incidents involved the victim of Tuesday’s homicide, Leila Al Raheel, 41, or Ahmad Shareef, the 34-year-old man accused of killing her. Word of repeated calls to the home steps away from Tacony Creek is the latest development in a gruesome slaying that shook the Lawndale neighborhood. Al Raheel was found dead in the home Tuesday afternoon, after police responded to a report of a stabbing and found her headless corpse.

A paraplegic former member of the Canadian military shocked MPs on Thursday by testifying that the Department of Veterans Affairs offered her, in writing, the opportunity for a medically assisted death — and even offered to provide the equipment.
Retired corporal Christine Gauthier, who competed for Canada at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics and the Invictus Games that same year, spoke before the House of Commons veterans committee and agreed to provide a copy of the letter.
“With respect to me, I have a letter in my file, because I had to face that as well,” said Gauthier, referring to the debate about veterans being offered the option of medical assistance in dying (MAID).
“I have a letter saying that if you’re so desperate, madam, we can offer you MAID, medical assistance in dying,” said Gauthier who first injured her back in a training accident in 1989.

Giovanni Montes, 24, is the 50th person accused of killing or shooting—or attempting to kill or shoot—someone in Chicago while awaiting trial for a felony this year. The alleged crimes involved at least 88 victims, 22 of whom died.

Denzal Stewart admitted setting fire to a CTA van during riots downtown on May 30, 2020.
A federal judge handed down the longest prison sentence yet for torching a car in Chicago during the 2020 rioting following the police murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Judge Gary Feinerman on Monday sentenced Denzal Stewart to 3 years and 9 months for conspiracy to commit arson and civil disorder.
It’s a longer sentence than the nearly 3 years given to Timothy O’Donnell, who torched a police vehicle while wearing a Joker mask; and the 3 years’ probation given to Jacob Fagundo, a School of the Art Institute student who torched another police car during the riots.
Stewart had pleaded guilty to setting a CTA van on fire on May 30, 2020, on State Street just north of Van Buren.
So, what are the odds that these three thugs will “change”? That they will never again commit such violent acts, endangering innocent lives? Better than the left will ever admit. Maybe if he had worn a stupid buffalo hat, and waved a flag on January 6th he would have gotten a harsher sentence.

Covid was only the beginning. The Liberal World Order learned a lot about how much tyranny we will tolerate. These lessons will be applied to the next pandemic. At the B20 (part of the G20 Summit in Bali), Indonesia’s Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin has called for digital health passports:
“Let’s have a digital health certificate acknowledged by WHO. If you have been vaccinated or tested properly, then you can move around. So for the next pandemic, instead of stopping the movement of the people, one hundred percent… you can still provide some movement of the people.”
As in the Soviet Union, you will still be allowed to move around on a limited basis, so long as you go where authorities want you.
Incidentally, the WHO is largely funded by American taxpayers but largely controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.

1- Trump wins in 2024, turns the nation around, and then DeSantis runs in 2028 and wins, and repeats in 2032! We can hopethis happens, and it surely could. This would result in increasing levels of bat shit crazy from the Democratic Party, which would increase voters who reject the nuts in the Democratic Party.
2– Next best option? DeSantis gets in the race, which I would likely advise against at this point frankly. But if he did, and won two terms, GREAT! The Left would still go nuts and expose how close to Marx and Engels they are, leading to another two term Republican, Conservative president! This could also lead to my long held dream of Katie Pavlich winning the White House. OK, I may be reaching here, but imagine our first woman president being a solid Conservative. During the Black Lives Matter riots, UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ endorsed police defunding. “Elements of our country’s law enforcement culture dehumanize some of the very people whose safety and wellness police officers are sworn to protect,” she falsely claimed.
Two weeks ago, UC Berkeley called the police on a conservative truck protesting campus antisemitism and the “Jewish Free Zones” erected by elements of its law school.
Berkeley Law School Dean Erwin Chemerinsky had claimed that the university couldn’t take any action against the “Jewish Free Zones” enacted by student organizations even as he admitted that they would bar 90% of Jewish speakers. “That is their First Amendment right. I find their statement offensive, but they have the right to say it. To punish these student groups, or students, for their speech would clearly violate the Constitution,” he argued.
That was in early October.
In late October, Chemerinsky responded to a truck rented by a conservative group protesting the “Jewish Free Zone” by threatening that, “we’re exploring whether there’s any action that can be taken against the Accuracy in Media for the truck.”
According to Chemerinsky and Berkeley, banning Jews is free speech, protesting the ban isn’t.
Chemerinsky described the ban of 90% of Jewish speakers as merely “offensive”, but condemned a protest against it as “despicable” and “outrageous behavior.”
You can easily see where this is going. To Leftists, free speech is ONLY protected for leftists speakers, and, anti-Semites qualify for the approved status it would seem. As always, go read it all
