The first 20 minutes on Meet the Press will be devoted to praising Joe Biden’s courage — his steely-eyed resolve and decisiveness — in ordering the Air Force to shoot down this threat to America:
A U.S. military aircraft on Saturday downed the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that had been floating over the United States for several days, according to a U.S. official and eyewitness videos circulating on social media. The balloon was brought down just off the Atlantic Coast, near the Carolinas, shortly after the Federal Aviation Administration ordered ground stops for all flights in and out of Wilmington, N.C., Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Charleston, S.C. In a statement, the agency said the ground stop was to “support the Department of Defense in a national security effort.” President Biden, when asked about the situation earlier Saturday, told reporters, “We’re gonna take care of it.” The days-long ordeal has placed new strains on what was already a fraught relationship between world powers, leading the Biden administration on Friday to postpone a trip to Beijing by Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The balloon was disclosed to the public on Thursday after appearing over Montana the day before, prompting a temporary stoppage of all flights out of the airport in Billings.
Decisive action Joe Biden! Shoot it down afterit had floated over the whole damn nation? AFTER it had gathered whatever the Chi Coms found out what they wanted? Good Freaking Grief!

Now the leftists running Marxifornia, led by Gov. Gavin Newsom Hair Gel, are infatuatedwith wealth taxes. Stuck on Stoopit!
California lawmakers are pushing legislation that would impose a new tax on the state’s wealthiest residents — even if they’ve already moved to another part of the country
Assemblyman Alex Lee, a progressive Democrat, last week introduced a bill in the California State Legislature that would impose an extra annual 1.5% tax on those with a “worldwide net worth” above $1 billion, starting as early as January 2024.
As early as 2026, the threshold for being taxed would drop: those with a worldwide net worth exceeding $50 million would be hit with a 1% annual tax on wealth, while billionaires would still be taxed 1.5%.
Worldwide wealth extends beyond annual income to include diverse holdings such as farm assets, arts and other collectibles, and stocks and hedge fund interest.
Marxists never stop. And do not think moving out o state will help
The current version just introduced includes measures to allow California to impose wealth taxes on residents even years after they left the state and moved elsewhere.
Exit taxes aren’t new in California. But this bill also includes provisions to create contractual claims tied to the assets of a wealthy taxpayer who doesn’t have the cash to pay their annual wealth tax bill because most of their assets aren’t easily turned into cash. This claim would require the taxpayer to make annual filings with California’s Franchise Tax Board and eventually pay the wealth taxes owed, even if they’ve moved to another state.

A new documentary looks into the sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and raises questions about the depth of the FBI investigation in 2018.
“Justice,” from filmmaker Doug Liman, debuted Friday night at the Sundance Film Festival to a sold-out theater surrounded by armed guards.
The film, made under intense secrecy, focuses on allegations made by Kavanaugh’s Yale classmate Deborah Ramirez that were detailed in a New Yorker article in 2018. Ramirez alleged that at a gathering with friends when she was a freshman in 1983, Kavanaugh pulled down his pants and thrust his penis at her. Kavanaugh has denied those claims. “Justice” also plays a taped recording of a tip given to the FBI from another Yale classmate, Max Stier, that describes a similar incident that the FBI never investigated.
The Stier report was previously detailed in 2019 by New York Times reporters Robin Pogebrin and Kate Kelly as part of their book “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation.” But the details of it came under scrutiny. After the story was posted online but before it was in the print edition, the Times revised the story to add that the book reported that the woman supposedly involved in the incident declined to be interviewed, and that her friends say she doesn’t recall the incident.
Yes, all the “evidence” against Kavanaugh was unsubstantiated, and all the “victims” only spoke out after Kavanaugh was nominated for the SCOTUS. I guess this film maker sees some personal gain be re-opening unproved allegations. And, I would wager the media gives him the attention he seeks. That is what the left does, wash….rinse…..repeat

What? You never heard of it? Our president made a LOT of money from Penn? Penn got a ton of $$$$$$$$ from, China? Does not ring a bell? Well The Other McCain explains
The University of Pennsylvania is an elite private school, where the annual cost of attendance is $81,340 including room and board. This Ivy League institution paid Joe Biden nearly $1 million between the time he left office as vice president in 2017 and the time he announced his presidential campaign in 2019. So far as is known, Biden made a grand total of nine appearances on the Penn campus in exchange for this lucrative remuneration, and also got a free university-provided office in D.C. as part of the “Penn Biden Center” deal, which is now under scrutiny because classified documents were found at the D.C. office. But there’s more to the story, as Gabrielle Etzel reports at Campus Reform:
UPenn announced the creation of the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in February 2017, and officially opened its Washington DC center in February 2018. Biden was named the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor at UPenn in 2017. Prior to his bid for the Presidency, the DC think tank was designed with an office suite dedicated to Biden’s use while in the capital city. UPenn paid Biden nearly $1 million for his contract between 2017 and 2019, according to the New York Post. Biden appeared on UPenn’s campus a total of nine times prior to suspending his professorship when he announced his presidential candidacy in April 2019. At the inauguration of the Penn Biden Center, former president of UPenn Amy Gutmann stated, “The unmatched personal connections Joe Biden has with world leaders is equally important to our students, our faculty, policymakers, and the work of this new Center…in furthering [the] diplomacy and global engagement that is needed to advance the world order.”
Note the reference to the “World Order” HMMMMM Like a New World Order? Again, things that make you go hmmmmmBut there is more
Investigative reporting from The Washington Free Beacon reveals that, between 2017 and 2019, UPenn received $61 million in gifts and contracts from China. By comparison, UPenn received $19 million from Chinese investments between 2014 and 2017. Following this report, the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) filed an official complaint with the US Attorney’s Office alleging that UPenn and the Penn Biden Center may be in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
Please do go read it all. And, an exit question Can you recall hearing about any of this from our media? In fairness to them, they were reporting on how many Diet Cokes President Trump drinks a day because JOURNALISM! What? You missed our medias obsession with the Trump/Diet Coke scandalous scandal? Here!

Maybe you don’t know who Al Sharpton actually is. Perhaps you never bothered to Google “Yankel Rosenbaum.” Maybe you’re too young to remember the Freddie’s Fashion Mart massacre. Your ignorance may be excusable because, after all, major news organizations have gone to great lengths to ignore or minimize Sharpton’s despicable history of inciting violence toward Jews. And we won’t even bring up Shapton’s anti-police rhetoric and his blatant dishonesty in the Tawana Brawley affair.
Sharpton has never been held accountable for any of this, because Democrats are so eager to pander to the “community” Sharpton claims to represent that they’ll send Joe Biden to give a speech on MLK Day at an event hosted by Sharpton’s National Action Network. It’s about the votes, you see, and if this means embracing a notorious Jew-hater, well, it ain’t the first time Democrats have made that bargain. Remember when FDR appointed JFK’s father Joe to be ambassador to Britain?
Kennedy rejected the belief of Winston Churchill that any compromise with Nazi Germany was impossible. Instead, he supported Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement. Throughout 1938, while the Nazi persecution of the Jews in Germany intensified, Kennedy attempted to arrange a meeting with Adolf Hitler. Shortly before the Nazi bombing of British cities began in September 1940, Kennedy once again sought a personal meeting with Hitler without the approval of the U. S. Department of State, in order to “bring about a better understanding between the United States and Germany” . . . According to Harvey Klemmer, who served as one of Kennedy’s embassy aides, Kennedy habitually referred to Jews as “kikes or sheenies”. Kennedy allegedly told Klemmer that “[some] individual Jews are all right, Harvey, but as a race they stink. They spoil everything they touch.” When Klemmer returned from a trip to Germany and reported the pattern of vandalism and assaults on Jews by Nazis, Kennedy responded, “Well, they brought it on themselves.”
Take some time, read it all. In America today, certain racists are called out, some are excused. Some, like Sharpton are praised somehow. Really I think we should blame Leftist disinformation

, I thought it would be prudent to mention this story, because it is the complete opposite of what the GOPe would normally do.
MAGA Rep. Lauren Boebert celebrated the first bill passed by the new GOP-controlled House, which would slash funding to the IRS and seeks to nix the hiring of over 87,000 new IRS employees over the next decade.
Representative Boebert noted the simplicity of the process involving the legislation.
The bill is rather simple, something Washington, D.C. could use right now.
“It’s two pages, not thousands. It has one subject and zero earmarks,” she said in a video posted to Twitter. “Oh, and it’ll help stop the harassment of the American citizens by prohibiting those 87,000 IRS agents from ever being hired.”
“That’s conservative governance at its finest,” the Colorado lawmaker added. “More freedom. Less government. And we are just getting started.”

“Eternals” actor Kumail Nanjiani said he’d like to star in more villain roles but was told studios refuse to cast non-white actors into those parts.
“I think that Hollywood now — even though they’re trying to be more diverse — is still weird,” the 44-year-old star told Esquire U.K. during a recent interview.
Nanjiani went on to express his belief that restricting certain races from playing these parts, even if well-intentioned, is at the same time hindering those actors who Hollywood studios claim to be trying to help.
In their depraved desire to be WOKE, they have become the censors and the bigots frankly. The are, in effect, poisoning their own well so to speak.

Even as millions of Americans struggle to heat their homes this winter thanks to rising gas and oil prices (which are ticking back up post-Christmas, by the by), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission – have fun finding that one in the Constitution – is opening up public comment to the supposed evils of home pollution created by gas stoves, the goal being either to slap burdensome new rules on the production of new appliances, or potentially ban them altogether.
The argument is that gas stoves, which are used in about 40 percent of all U.S. homes, put off harmful stuff like nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide (hint? Just turn on your fan). But even setting aside the fact that electric-powered appliances also put off stuff that’s not exactly great for breathing, rather than simply letting the general populace know about it and allowing them to choose for themselves what kind of stovetop they want to cook on, the government is taking it upon itself to consider banning the machines in the name of keeping people safe from their own free choices.
Even more immediately concerning is the fact that for the nearly half of all Americans who use gas ranges, any ban that grandfathers in currently existing stoves would still leave homeowners unable to buy a new gas appliance should their old one break down, forcing them to switch to an electric unit and leaving them on the hook for hundreds of dollars to pay an electrician to make the swap (and that’s on top of the cost of a new machine).

It would seem Team Biden is afraid of Tucker Carlson…Via The Other McCain
A bit on the blurry side Here is what it says
“Since we’ve been on the phone — the top post about vaccines today is Tucker Carlson saying they don’t work. Yesterdaty was Tomi Lehren saying she won’t take one. This is exactly why I want to know what ‘Reduction’ actually looks like — if ‘reduction’ means ‘pumping our most vaccine hesitant audience with Tucker Carlson saying it doesn’t work’ then … I’m not sure it’s reduction!” — Rob Flaherty Director of Digital Strategy The White House
Thanks and credit to The Other McCain who comes with some hard truth
Can you get any clearer example of abuse of power than this? The safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines was, and is, an important matter of public policy. Perhaps you don’t have any concern on this subject — I got vaccinate in September 2021, so its moot to me — but the point is that the White House wanted to stifle all criticism, to silence anyone expressing their concerns, so that the “discussion” became a one-sided propaganda message. And they were muscling Twitter to enforce this.
Furthermore, and I’ve raised this point repeatedly in recent months: Follow the money. The giant pharmaceutical companies producing the vaccines had an obvious motive to maximize the number of people who were getting vaccinated, without regard for their objective risk from COVID-19. Even if you were healthy and under 40, even if you had natural immunity because you’d already had COVID and recovered from it, the message was EVERYBODY MUST GET VACCINATED!
The media, naturally, will not touch this story. But you already knew that
