There haven’t been many public polls in the Minnesota governor’s race, but Republican challenger Scott Jensen is within striking distance of Democrat incumbent Gov. Tim Walz, who is now dealing with fallout from what federal prosecutors call “the largest pandemic relief fraud scheme charged to date”:
The Department of Justice announced today federal criminal charges against 47 defendants for their alleged roles in a $250 million fraud scheme that exploited a federally-funded child nutrition program during the COVID-19 pandemic. . . .
“This was a brazen scheme of staggering proportions,” said U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger for the District of Minnesota. “These defendants exploited a program designed to provide nutritious food to needy children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they prioritized their own greed, stealing more than a quarter of a billion dollars in federal funds to purchase luxury cars, houses, jewelry, and coastal resort property abroad. I commend the work of the skilled investigators and prosecutors who unraveled the lies, deception, and mountains of false documentation to bring this complex case to light.”
The 47 defendants are charged across six separate indictments and three criminal informations with charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering, and bribery.
It is almost as if the more politicians spend, especially Democrats, the more fraud we get. Seems that in this case, they literally took food from children’s mouths. And, Mr. McCain has been kind enough to include a list of names of the accused. And, see if you see a certain fact about these names.

It must be pointed out that many Somalians live in parts Minnesota, and, in fact, it was a Somali activist, Abdihakim Nur, who took some photos that were the catalyst for much of the fraud coming to light. The images he took were uploaded to social media and, five days later the fan met the, well you know……..the FBI raided the home of the Executive Director of the “non-profit” group Feeding Our Future.
Federal authorities say that tens of millions of dollars aimed for needy children instead bankrolled lavish spending on jewelry, luxury cars and properties in Minnesota and across the globe.
Of course these people ARE all considered innocent until PROVEN guilty. This is America, and we must remember that due process is one of America’s bedrock principles. Even though a certain political party seems not be too big a fan of it.
The Other McCain has a LOT more, including some political implications. Governor Tim Walz (D) is in a tight re-elections race, and there is a very close House race as well, so go read everything McCain he has!
