Leftists/Marxists/Communists, have a long, long record of lying, or, if you prefer, spreading the propaganda on thick heavy. The fact is if a Leftists lips are moving, they are, in fact LYING! Our president, like all Leftists right now, is lying as fast as he can about guns, self-defense, gun owners, gun makers, and so on. There are millions — literally millions — of AR-15-type rifles legally owned by law-abiding American citizens who have never shot another human being. The fact that Salvador Ramos owned two of them cannot be interpreted as signifying that everybody who owns an AR-15 is a menace to society, because if you want to engage in irresponsible generalization like that, I could think of some other generalizations relevant to violent crime that no sensible politician would dare invoke.
Biden’s rhetoric is dishonest, not only in its details, but in the larger sense of the false implication that it is a “lobby” or an “industry” that he desires to crush with regulations — no, it’s gun owners he’s after.
Those of us old enough to remember the dishonesty by which Democrats rammed the 1994 “assault weapons ban” through Congress know all of this. There was no actual crisis that demanded such onerous regulations which, in point of fact, did not “ban” any weapons (i.e., those guns that were already owned remained legal, but importation and domestic retail sales were prohibited), and made purely aesthetic distinctions between “banned” weapons and others that were functionally identical. By the way, these were semi-automatic rifles, not “assault weapons,” which are fully automatic, commonly referred to as “machine guns.”
Go read the whole thing. The rhetoric the left has been beating to death, for decades now about guns is a tissue of lies, scare tactics, and rhetoric designed to demonize guns, gun owners, gun makers. They always rant about “DOING SOMETHING!!” But, everything they are calling to be done do nothing to fix anything. Think of all the laws a school shooter breaks to carry out their evil act. Yet, we are told that the we need more laws. These new laws, of course will be broken by evil doers as well. That is useless, well unless stopping violent felons is not the goal. The target of these “common sense laws” are, in fact lawful gun owners. And that, is not by accident.
Tens of millions of Americans carry firearms lawfully daily. And do zero harm. Millions and millions or AR-15’s are legally owned, and are not used to do any harm. There are I am told more that 400 million privately owned firearms in America. If guns “caused” violent crimes, we would all have been shot by now. And, yes, firearms are used in self-defense over 1 million times per year. The problem is not, and never has been guns. Democrats are lying to America, AGAIN!
