That thing the Left says NEVER happens, happened in Michigan. From 12 News Flint: Police: Licensed gun owners stop home invasion in St. Charles

A miscreant on drugs was jumping on cars. Police were dispatched.

While police were responding, the bystanders reported that the man got inside the residence, where a 41-year-old woman and her children ages 13 and 9 were staying.

The witnesses, who are concealed pistol license carriers, went inside the house around 7:50 a.m. and subdued the suspect until deputies from the sheriff’s office arrived about two minutes later.

No one got shot, so the gun-hating Left will NOT count this a defensive use of a gun. How could they? It doesn’t support their narrative in any way.

Truth is in the majority of defensive gun uses, the gun is never fired. I have had a few people tell me I did not defend myself with my firearm, when I pulled it and warded off an attacker with a ski mask and a revolver. Odd, if it was not the “Evil semi-auto” in my hand what made the attacker run? Must have been my sarcastic nature I guess.

Frightening news about the coming war on the disabled…..

A chilling report out of Canada that has failed to get the attention it deserves. Assisted Suicide is gaining more acceptance here in the States as well, and who is included as a potential participant has become a horror in Canada. Mental health now will be included as well as children without parental consent. Laura Ingraham had a disturbing report and is included..

Already Oregon, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, Vermont, Washington state and Washington, D.C., have approved assisted suicide all with residency requirements.

Anything to lessen the values of a a civilized society. A reminder during the halcyon days of Obama when the “death panels” were so aptly described. Otherwise known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board.

Tim Stainton director of the Canadian Institute for Inclusion and Citizenship at the University of British Columbia said the country’s uniquely permissive euthanasia laws were, “probably the biggest existential threat to disabled people since the Nazis’ program in Germany in the 1930s.”

Canada’s extremely liberal euthanasia laws, which, next year, are set to be extended to include people suffering from mental health conditions and potentially minors, have been slammed for being reminiscent of the way the Nazis dealt with people with disabilities by a leading academic in the field.

As Adolf Hitler consolidated his power at home in anticipation of war, he moved not only against Jews, Sinti, and Roma but also against those Aryans whom he considered “unworthy of life”—people with epilepsy, alcoholism, birth defects, hearing loss, mental illnesses, and personality disorders, as well as those who had vision loss or developmental delays or who even suffered from certain orthopedic problems. Hitler viewed them as “marginal human beings” who had to make a case for their own survival at a time when the nation was preparing for war.

The first to be eliminated were too young to speak on their own behalf. In fall 1938, the parents of a severely disabled infant petitioned Hitler for the right to kill their child. He granted the petition and saw in the request an opportunity to encourage what he called “mercy killings” or “euthanasia.”

What the Waukesha Massacre illustrates

One would think this a major news story, a story with, as they say, legs. A madman drives through a Christmas parade, wantonly killing young and old alike. It’s horror on main street, a horrific attack on middle America, on American values. But no. It didn’t fit any social justice narrative. In fact, it obliterated them and threatened to call attention to D/S/C’s deadly pro-criminal policies.

The killer, you see gentle readers, was not a white supremacist, not a racist, not a transphobe or homophobe, not a hater of minor attracted persons. He was not at all sympathetic—to sane people. The killer wasn’t even gay or trans. He was a violent black felon, and the people he murdered were white. The media doesn’t care about them. There were no political points to be made, no one to cancel, no one to hate, no money to be made, no lying to be done in Congress, no blaming guns, none of the essential elements of the preferred narratives. Oh, they could have blamed SUVs—that’s what the killer used to murder—but for some reason, they couldn’t, surprisingly, stoop quite that low.

Please go read it all. This horrific mass murder spree, by an evil man, was swept under the rug by the media. The expression that “if it bleeds it leads” certainly is no longer true. Now, that must be updated, perhaps to something like “All the news that fits the narrative“ or something similar. That is, yes a very harsh indictment on our media, but it is an indictment the media richly deserves.

Our president, you know, the uniter, never visited to speak with support or comfort the families, not once. The victims were, apparently not demographically correct I suppose.

Rabbits Could Be The Next Climate Change Casualty

Climate change is already having detrimental effects on ecology and wildlife around the world, and these problems are likely to get worse in the years ahead. But there remains much that is unknown. While many species, like the arctic polar bear, will predictably be worse off as their natural habitat and food sources are depleted, other species will undoubtedly benefit, and for still others, fortunes could go either way. One case in point is rabbits.

There are known to be more than 30 different species of rabbit, including 305 different breeds, spread across the world. Rabbits are one of the most recently domesticated animals, with some scholars tracing their domestication back to French monasteries in the 600s. Around that time, Pope Gregory the Great ruled that rabbit meat could be consumed during lent, leading to increased production in monasteries. (snip)

At higher temperatures, rabbit production becomes more challenging, which means higher costs for farmers in the form of fans, air conditioning units or other cooling strategies. Reduced fertility among rabbits is one consequence of hotter temperatures (something apparently also true in humans). Litters tend to have fewer bunnies, birth weights are lower, and there are higher rates of mortality among the young.
