A man fatally shot 17-year-old Brendan Ofori on a D.C. Metro train Sunday morning. The Washington Post‘s coverage of the story includes crime statistics that compare the transportation system’s year-to-date data from this year and last: robberies up 156 percent, aggravated assaults up 35 percent, larcenies up 116 percent.
When the city council passed a veto-proof overhaul of the district’s criminal code earlier this year (in opposition to the mayor’s wishes), Joe Biden signed the Congress’s rejection of the proposed changes that would have eliminated most mandatory minimum sentences, reduced mandatory maximum penalties and allowed jury trials for misdemeanors.
How to Spot a RINO
We are now enduring the usual competing ads from another primary election. A trend has developed in Republican primaries that sees candidates call each other “RINOs” (Republicans in Name Only). An incumbent GOP candidate insists that his challenger is a RINO. The challenger says the same thing about the incumbent. In Pennsylvania, these ads feature grainy photos of the opposing GOP candidates next to grainy photos of Joe Biden or Democrat governors Wolf and Shapiro. Republicans argue over who are the “real” RINOs. These accusations appear in local races as much as congressional and Senate contests. Even the RINOs appear to oppose the RINOs.
Some commenters implore both sides to stop using this term because it is easy to make and impossible to prove. But is it really impossible?

It is a puzzle to me why Lesbian Women in particular want to give up their rights that they have enjoyed for decades to men. LBGT has been an acronym that started throwing this group of folks together as if the agenda should and needs to be the same for each.
As the years have progressed more letters have been added defining that more folks with identity issues should be added to this collection of disparate individuals. June would be a fine month for those identified in this group to break ranks and stand up for our children. Their sexual proclivity should not be the defining identity for them.

Target CEO Brian Cornell responded to the BLM race riots with a memo claiming that, “the murder of George Floyd has unleashed the pent-up pain of years, as have the killings of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.” Much of that pain was directed at robbing Target.
After a massive wave of arson and looting, targeted its own chain stores, Target doubled down on its Racial Equity Action and Change strategy. The Target Foundation was one of the signatories of the Philanthropic Collective to Combat Anti-Blackness & Realize Racial Justice statement attacking the criminal justice system.
Target committed to racial quotas for its workforce and forced diversity and inclusion training on employees. Kiera Fernandez, Target’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion executive, warned that employees had to go along with the DEI agenda “to be a part of this company.”
Meanwhile people were being stabbed and shot at Target locations around the country.
