The would be bad-guy was also wounded, and was arrested. Also, the defender is going to be OK, but that those bits of info don’t rate being in the headline.

How many unarmed drivers have been injured by carjackers? Was their lack of a firearm noted in every headline?

The 46-year-old, who has a concealed carry license and a FOID card, pulled out his gun and opened fire, police said. The suspect shot back.

Law Enforcement in Florida is special. Florida police chief issues warning to criminals after homeowner shoots burglars: ‘Most people are armed’ | Fox News

“One should expect that if you are brazen enough to enter into someone’s residence and it is not yours, with intent to commit an unlawful act, there may be repercussions,” Haines City Police Chief Gregory Goreck said in a Friday press conference.

Haines City, Florida is in Polk County. I was hoping we would get a message from Grady Judd, the county sheriff, but Chief Goreck will do.

Goreck was responding to an incident on Friday where a Florida man with a concealed weapon permit arrived home and found two intruders burglarizing his residence.

One of the miscreants was shot. Cops were able to track him with a K-9 unit. The other would-be bad-guy ran like a rabbit.

Tyriek Tramaine Washington was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds, he was treated, then he was charged and moved to the county lockup

How would you respond to an intruder in your home at 5:30 AM?

According to the Terre Haute Police Department, officers were sent to the 200 block of N. Fruitridge Ave. around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday after a call about a homeowner shooting an intruder in their home.

Remember, self-defense is the most basic human right

A bad day to be a scumbag

A young woman in Sanford, Florida who had just gotten off work was violently assaulted by a man during an attempted carjacking, but it was the carjacker himself who ended up paying the price.

Authorities say the woman had just finished her shift at George’s Tavern and was walking to her vehicle behind the bar when a man burst out of a Port-a-Potty and began attacking her.

“A man had been waiting in the outhouse for a few hours and come around and had grabbed her and had her on the ground, choking her and beating her in the head, said George’s Tavern customer Al Moon.

And, what stopped this evil bastard? Maybe more gun laws? No! It was her armed boyfriend

The father of the victim said his daughter suffered mild injuries to her head after the suspect attacked her. He said she is a bartender at George’s Tavern and had just finished her shift. He asked her boyfriend to come by at the end of the night to make sure she got home safely. According to police, when the boyfriend saw what was happening, he removed his gun from his waist and shot the man.

“Thank God her boyfriend is a special ops guy and come out and saved her life,” Moon said.

A law-abiding citizen was home with his 10-year-old son when a stranger broke into the home through a basement window. Eastern Iowa Man Shoots, Kills Armed Intruder

The resident of the home fired 3 shots, hitting the intruder twice.

Lyons said an investigation of the shooting is continuing but that evidence supports a conclusion that the resident was justified in using deadly force.

A mother drew a gun to drive off two people who were trying to abduct her son in a Des Moines skywalk outside her office, according to police reports.

Bay County Florida is on the Gulf Coast in the Florida Panhandle. It includes Panama City, FL.

How would you respond to an intruder in your home at 6 AM?

Deputies said a resident of the home discovered an intruder downstairs. The woman then told her husband who grabbed a firearm and confronted the intruder.

Deputies said the two got into an altercation and the homeowner fatally shot the man.

Home Invaders are still getting shot. Texas homeowner shoots suspected intruder, holds him at gunpoint until deputies arrive | Fox News

This story also points up the fact that people you know can be a threat.

“The homeowner stated that the intruder rammed his vehicle through the locked gate, accessing the property, and approached the residence front door, aggressively attempting to break into the residence,” deputies said, according to the Forth Worth-Star Telegram. 

That should learn the bad guy a valuable lesson “don’t fuck around, you won’t find out”
