You see car chases are dangerous. (So are dangerous criminals, but hey.) And so cops need extra special permission to pursue bad guys in Chicago.
An armed robbery crew that has struck repeatedly in Wicker Park and Avondale returned to the area to commit two more daylight robberies on Friday morning. Chicago police spotted the offenders as they fled from the second robbery scene, but a CPD supervisor ordered units not to follow the car onto the expressway. So, the armed men, wanted for more than a dozen armed and sometimes violent robberies, remain at large to commit more crimes.
Rest assured that if an innocent person is killed by this group of thugs, the “geniuses” that are largely responsible will accept zero blame

Prosecutors say a man who was on bail for attempted murder, on bail for a separate gun case, and on bail for yet another gun and stolen motor vehicle case was found with a gun in a stolen car after he drove onto the curb while Chicago police were working a crime scene this week.
“The court is apoplectic,” Judge Maryam Ahmad said on Wednesday afternoon after hearing the latest allegations against Jaylan Taylor.
“You’re telling me he’s on the court bond for three cases?” Ahmad asked.
“Yes, judge,” prosecutor Zachary Peasall replied.
“You said attempt murder, one case…”
“Yes, judge.”
“… second case [aggravated unlawful use of a weapon]. What’s the third pending case?”
“Also an aggravated unlawful use of a weapon,” Peasall confirmed.

Portland, Oregon, cops, already diminished, demoralized, and defunded, are being targeted, yet again, by Leftists who have intentionally put a target on their backs. Officers involved in two shooting incidents were outed and doxxed by anti-police Leftists. After a third officer-involved shooting, Portland Police refused to divulge the officer’s identity.
Portland Police union leaders say doxxers have followed officers home and issued flyers with officers’ names and photos in their neighborhoods.
After the three Portland cops were involved in shootings this week, Antifa, BLM, and other Leftists responded by doxxing two of the officers by publicizing their names, addresses, phone numbers, and other personal information. Considering the violent nature of the groups doxxing the officers, they’re essentially putting a hit out on the police.
KGW TV reported that the police union president, Sgt. Aaron Schmautz, demanded the officer’s name from the latest police shooting be hidden.
“Transparency is very important,” said Sgt. Aaron Schmautz, president of the Portland Police Association. “It’s a vital cog in accountability. But when we see officers threatened before there’s any due process before the investigation has even gotten off the ground, people followed home, people having flyers put up in their neighborhood, family members being threatened, this isn’t about transparency. This is about utilizing an event to create chaos and threaten the safety of police officers. It’s just not acceptable. What’s very important is we work together to call out those actors, call out those people.”

How to fight crime? Among the most sensible things, it would seem, would be putting police where the crime occur. Sounds pretty reasonable. In fact I would bet you that most Americans would agree. And, the whole out the cops where the crimes are happening has a very good history, which of course, greatly triggers the left because the left loves criminals. One of the things that caused the impressive reduction of crime in New York City in the 1990s was CompStat, where data about criminal activity in the city was compiled and analyzed in weekly reports that gave police detailed information about when and where crime was happening. This allowed police to concentrate their efforts on specific areas at the most likely time to apprehend perpetrators. The CompStat approach was subsequently emulated by other law-enforcement agencies, and thereby helped produce a nationwide downward trend in crime that began in the 1990s and continued for about 20 years, until the “Ferguson effect” took hold during Obama’s second term. The important point is that CompStat, along with other technological advances (e.g., widespread video surveillance), made law enforcement more effective in apprehending and prosecuting criminals. This is why liberal complaints about “racial profiling” and “mass incarceration” are so misguided. If there is a rash of street robberies in a particular location, and victims of these crimes are reporting that their attackers are young black males, the cops trying to prevent these crimes can’t do so by scrutinizing elderly Chinese women in some other neighborhood. Investigations will focus on specific locations, and on suspects fitting witness descriptions.
Tons of great information there be sure to read it all. And take careful note of how President Obama’s often race-based policies on policing cause a spike in violent crime after Ferguson, Mo. And, more recently, after the violence and riots following the death of George “Fentanyl” Floyd, we have seen another spike. The point is that we know what to do, yet when we do those things, the Left fights as hard as they can to stop strategies that lower crime. The left has also gone all in on taking away weapons from the law-abiding, while ignoring many violent crimes. DA’s across many large cities have played softball with violent criminals. Gone to war on bail, harsher sentences, and other effective strategies. Fact is the left fights the law abiding and police harder than they fight violent criminals.

I sometimes thank that we are indeed living in the age of morons, fools, and idiots. It is like that idiot boss we have all had at one time or another is running everything. But, there is some good news, at least law enforcement has good, capable leadership. I mean a police department would never EVER tell its officers to let a murderer go without giving chase right. Right? OH for Pete’s sake!
A Chicago Police Department supervisor on Saturday ordered patrol units to stop pursuing a car that officers saw being used by three gunmen in a murder just minutes earlier.
After being told to stop pursuing the car, a stunned officer responded, “The car wanted for the murder?
“This department’s a joke,” another said.
And they were murderers. They were seen doing the shooting, and the guy who got shot in the head died from his injuries. But that isn’t good enough for the powers that be in Chicago. Just let them go.
And, they will likely get caught, eventually, but how many lives will they take until then? And how low will their bail be? How long will their sentence be when convicted? God help us.

A mass shooting happens in his state, not to mention weekly blood baths between gang members every weekend in Chicago, and what does he do. Blames the NRA, and guns. Talk about stuck on Stoopit! So, when the NRA, and others, point out that Chicago Illinois, with their ultra draconian gun restrictions is a perfect example of the failure of gun control laws, what does Pritzker the genius do? He grabs his shovel, jumps into the Pit of Eternal Leftist Stupidity, and goes to digging!
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker told the National Rifle Association to leave his state the “hell alone” in response to the group tweeting about mass shootings occurring in gun free zones
“And 100% of mass public shootings happen with guns,” the Illinois Democrat tweeted Tuesday night in response to data showing that “94% of mass public shootings occurred in gun-free zones.”
OK, Governor, and 100% of stabbings happen with knives. Yet Pritzker keeps blaming the tool, not the bad people misusing it. Clearly stating something so damn obvious Ray Charles can see it is not solving anything.
“Our Founders carried muskets, not assault weapons,” Pritzker said on Monday afternoon. “And I don’t think a single one of them would have said that you have a constitutional right to an assault weapon with a high capacity magazine, or that that is more important than the right of the people who attended this parade today to live.”
I doubt that, Pritzker likely has not spent much time studying the Founders, or firearms. The muskets in the colonies WERE weapons of war at the time Governor. And the Founders were explicitly clear that they wanted the people to be armed. Yet, Governor Pritzker is blaming “assault weapons” But, apparently, he forgot those are already banned!
Chicago has long been known as a city with some of the strictest gun laws, which stretches back to its ban on handguns in 1982. The Supreme Court struck down the ban in 2010, but the city has continued with other strict laws.
The city has a ban on “assault weapons,” defined as “any weapon that shoots… automatically, more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger,” which includes automatic rifles and “ghost guns.” Large-capacity magazines are also banned in Cook County, which includes Chicago.
Additionally, leaders of Highland Park banned “assault rifles” in 2013, including AR15s and AK47s.
OUCH! The governor is so ignorant he does not realize he is calling for gun bans on guns that are already banned! I am sure, however, that Gov. Pritzker would tells us that background checks would have stopped…..OH, wait
The suspected Highland Park shooter, 21-year-old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, was flagged by police as a “clear and present danger” in 2019 but was still able to pass four background checks between 2020 and 2021.

Ken Griffin, the richest Illinoisan, is taking his family, his billions of dollars and his companies and leaving Chicago.
He made the announcement Thursday in a memo to employees. Griffin said the headquarters of his Citadel hedge fund and his trading firm, Citadel Securities, will move to Miami, what he called a “vibrant, growing metropolis that embodies the American Dream.”
The move is expected to take several years. The firms have more than 1,000 employees in Chicago and while some are expected to remain, how many is unknown.
This is the direct result of Leftism, and leftist politicians. Politicians who are overly impressed with themselves, and who put their own gain above serving their city and its residents. Yes, if you go soft on crime people will not visit your city as much, and that downward trend will only change course when crime start going down and not up. A second pro-life pregnancy center that serves mothers and babies in need was vandalized this week in Michigan, the latest in dozens of attacks on pro-life organizations and churches since May.
The Redford pregnancy center had several windows and glass doors broken, and pro-abortion graffiti was written over the walls, including the words, “This is a fake clinic” and “Jane,” according to the report.

According to Live Action News, the radical pro-abortion anarchist group Jane’s Revenge allegedly took credit for both vandalisms.

Officers were called to the shooting just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022, in the 1200 block of Perkins Terrace. According to the police affidavit, a man told investigators he was walking his dog when he saw a vehicle stop on his street, and three men jump out and run toward a neighbor’s house.
The man told police he asked the men what they were doing, and that’s when one of them fired a shot at him. Police said the man fired back, striking one of the suspects.
The three miscreants were breaking into cars to steal whatever was inside. The car they were in was stolen.
Officers arrived and said they found Ashton Hairston and Chedrick Webber near the scene. According to the affidavit, Hairston told police he and his friend were ‘bobbin’ – slang for breaking into car windows and stealing what’s inside. Police said Webber had been shot in the lower back, and he was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
A great example of why so many people carry firearms legally. Guy was just walking his dog, and in a second, he comes under fire. Sure, these miscreant bastards were merely “stealing stuff”, but when confronted one of them opened fire. Ask yourself what might have happened if the man walking his dog was NOT carrying?
