The Other McCain ponders another “mostly peaceful” riot or something

Could anything be more insane than the belief that Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk is some sort of right-wing extremist? He’s basically an Eisenhower Republican, definitely less conservative than, say, Ace of Spades, but reality doesn’t matter to California kids who have been taught that disagreement is “hate”:

Left-wing and LGBTQ activists at UC Davis were arrested after vandalizing university property on Tuesday during an event featuring Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The incident came just hours after UC Davis chancellor Gary S. May declared Kirk a “proponent of hate” and encouraged students to “neutralize and negate” TPUSA’s influence on campus.
Protestors carrying banners that read, “Queers Bash Back,” and, “Bash Fash,” were seen on video smashing glass windows while police officers tried to fend them off.
Additional footage showed police outside taking down masked protesters who appeared to be carrying spray paint cans.
Police also clashed with banner-wielding protesters who were chanting, “fight back!” as they tried to advance toward the building where the Turning Point USA event was being held.
A UC Davis campus police spokesperson told Breitbart News that “two people were arrested after spray painting the outside of the building.”
“I’m not sure what the exact charges are, but that’s what they were doing,” the spokesperson said.
The police spokesperson added that he did not have information on the identities of the individuals who were arrested and that, so far, no arrests have been made in connection to the smashed glass windows on the university’s campus doors.
The left-wing and LGBTQ activists were also seen carrying banners that read, “Protect Trans Kids,” and, “Fascists Off Campus.”

See! Fake Outrage. They are obsessed with being victims, being angry, and re becoming more dangerous, because too many tolerate their behavior. As the Other McCain notes

Once you start kowtowing to these precious darlings with their pronouns and whatnot, you’re basically inviting anarchy and chaos because their entire existence is based on being offended by everything.

Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer admitted Sunday on CNN that some of her lockdown policies didn’t make sense in hindsight.

During the height of the pandemic, Whitmer instituted some of the toughest lockdown measures. Whitmer issued an executive order in April of 2020 that deemed several home-improvement and gardening items, such as fruit and vegetable seeds, as “non-essential.” Whitmer’s order gave explicit instructions with regard to the “non-essential” items that they could not be sold.

“Close areas of the store – by cordoning them off, placing signs in aisles posting prominent signs, removing goods from shelves, or other appropriate means – that are dedicated to the following classes of goods,” the order said.

Oh Gov DUH!

It is loathsome for the president to smear his political opponents as modern-day Bull Connors when he was the one who embraced segregation.

In a ceremony commemorating the 58th anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama, Joe Biden depicted Republicans as modern segregationists while claiming to be of part of the civil rights movement. “I was a student up north in the civil rights movement,” the president said. “I remember feeling how guilty I was; I wasn’t here. How could we all be up there, and you going through what you went through.”

This never happened. Just as Biden never participated in any marches or sit-ins or boycotts and just as he was never arrested trying to march with Mandela and just as he never represented any Black Panthers in the 1960s. No president, none, has lied about his personal history as aggressively and blatantly as Joe Biden. This is stolen valor, not the muttering of a doddering man with an aging mind. It has always been his modus operandi.

One issue state and federal legislators are considering—apart from trying to mandate EVs and do away with conventionally fueled vehicles—is mileage taxes for EVs. This is necessary, you see, because excise taxes are charged at the pump. EVs, particularly if they charge at home, can’t be similarly, or reliably, charged. Circa January, 2022, the average gas tax was 31.02 cents per gallon, with the federal rate being 18.4 cents.

AHA! They are comin for even more money because Marxists are GREEDY!

As regular readers know, “fuel” costs for EVs are not, in fact, cheaper than for conventional vehicles. Oh, but EVs have all kinds of other ways of being cheaper! Perhaps, perhaps not, but that goes out the window when a battery, which costs 1/3+ the price of a new EV—current average $66,000—must be replaced.

What those pushing for EV mileage taxes are saying very, very, quietly, or not at all, are their true intentions. Such a tax would require mandatory hardware and software to monitor mileage in real time. Such devices would also allow the government to know not only how much you were driving, but where, and certainly, with whom, also in real time. Our self-imagined elite masters surely would not stop there. There would inevitably be mileage limits. Exceed your monthly limit and your vehicle would be shut off. And for “safety” purposes, there would surely be cameras and microphones in EVs to detect any anti-climate change wrong think.

But Saraswati, who was born Rachel Elizabeth Seidel, is not a person of color, according to her mother, Carol Perone.
“I call her Rachel,” Perone told The Intercept, when reached by telephone. “I don’t know why she’s doing what she’s doing.”
Saraswati, her mother added, is of British, German, and Italian descent — not Latina, South Asian, or Arab. “I’m as white as the driven snow and so is she,” added Perone . . .

Now, here’s the big payoff in this story:

Oskar Pierre Castro, a human resources professional who participated in the search committee to fill Sarawati’s position, told The Intercept that she had presented herself as a “queer, Muslim, multiethnic woman.”
“It really touched all the points,” said Castro . . .
“DEI is becoming a multibillion-dollar industry: corporations, companies, nonprofits,” [an anonymous] AFSC leader told The Intercept. “The data shows a tiny percentage of the directors are Black. And now you have white people in brown face getting into DEI positions, with its salary, resources, and power.”

Rachel Levine says some LGBTQI+ children need to “replace” parents with “one supportive adult”

“One supportive adult,” Levine, who is transgender, said in the clip posted on Twitter. “I’d love it if that was always the parent, but it’s not always a parent. Frequently it’s a teacher, or a guidance counselor, or some other coach or another school personnel.”

“This law forbids kids essentially from — from talking to — to — to these people. Also it means that — that if you tell a teacher the teacher has to tell the parent,” Levine added. “And so it really is — is a gag rule. It’s a gag law to — to — to prevent kids from accessing supportive adults.”

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation protecting parental rights in Florida in March, which came following a spate of lawsuits across the country centered around clandestine social transitions of children in schools. The law prohibits discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade and required schools to notify parents about services for mental, emotional and physical health.

A 12-year-old Florida girl reportedly attempted suicide twice after administrators carried out a social transition without informing her parents, prompting a lawsuit, Fox News reported.

“Studies show that one supportive adult, one supportive adult for an LGBTQI+ kid can make all the difference in terms of preventing suicide, in terms of — of them, being able to navigate the world into adulthood and leading a — you know, a happy, successful productive life,” Levine said.

After the bombing of a Marriott hotel that killed and wounded over 160 people, plots to poison water reservoirs near military bases, blow up gas stations and poison medications, Biden has decided to free Majid Khan from Gitmo and send him off to vacation in sunny Belize.

Biden has continued Obama’s policy of freeing all the Islamic terrorists from Guantanamo Bay.

His administration released an alternate 9/11 hijacker and a military base truck bomb plotter. He also freed a terrorist linked to a Chanukah massacre of Israeli children, an Al Qaeda ally who plotted to smuggle nukes into America and the Taliban commander who helped blow up the Buddhas. He’s also tried to cut a deal to spare 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the death penalty. So Khan, a high-value detainee, knew that his day would soon come.

But in 2003, there was another day that allegedly had Khan’s bloody fingerprints on it.

On a hot August day in Jakarta, a station wagon blew up in front of the Marriott hotel. The explosion claimed a eleven lives, including that of 49-year-old Dutch banker Hans Winkelmolen, and Johanes Bolan, and wounded another 150 people.

One account describes how, “the force of the explosion shattered windows 30 floors up, and the attack left bodies lying among shattered debris and wrecked cars in the street.” Some victims lay in hospitals on ventilators while others had shrapnel extracted from their bodies. At memorials outside the Indonesian hotel, flowers were left next to photographs of the victims.
