If convicted, this should end his NBA career

I know the NBA is WOKE! So much so I have stopped watching it. I wonder how tough the NBA is on domestic abuse?

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges is facing three felony domestic violence charges after being accused of assaulting his girlfriend in front of their two children last month, the Los Angeles County district attorney said Tuesday.

District Attorney George Gascón said his office filed one felony count of injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death. Bridges is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

So, if he is convicted should he ever play again? Frankly, no, not no but HELL NO! I wonder this. If he is guilty, and is convicted, will the NBA be as passionate about domestic abuse as they are about being WOKE! Will they have massive banners at games? Allow players to have messages against domestic abuse on uniforms? Will they preach their message against domestic abuse as loud as they did for “Social Justice”? We will see

How about we talk something and keep politics out of it?

Allyson Felix, one of America’s greatest athletes won a bronze medal yesterday. It was her final event, and will be her last medal. And folks, this woman has won a LOT of medals. Thirty of them in fact. Yes, 30!

Felix won her 30th major international medal at the 2022 track and field world championships Friday night, running the second leg in the mixed-gender 4×400 relay as the Americans claimed bronze.

“To be able to come here in front of a home crowd, it’s something I’ve always wanted,” said Felix, who burst on to the track scene as a teenager in Los Angeles and has blossomed into one of the brightest stars in the sport. “To be able to have that, obviously not in the prime of my career, to finish here tonight, to have (daughter) Cammy in the stands, to share that moment meant a lot.”

The 36-year-old will leave the sport next month with 19 world championship medals, in addition to the seven golds, three silvers and one bronze that she won in five Olympic appearances.

So, thank you Allyson, an American icon, and one of the greatest athletes in history.

See America. I have ZERO idea what this young lady feels about any political issues. Don’t care frankly! She is an American icon, and because of her accomplishments, I can honor and salute her. No matter her ideology. See, politics is NOT everything. Sports do matter, because as an American we can cheer for our countrymen and not give the first damn about their politics.

Sometimes we just need to keep politics out of it.
