And there goes the Cult of Climate Catastrophe, again

0 0
Read Time:51 Second

How many times have these loons prognosticated how many years mankind has left until Climate Cataclysmic DOOM kills us all! So, here is the latest, we have Michael Mann giving us 10 years until, well, you know!

Against the backdrop of extreme weather across the country, Chris Jansing welcomed Penn State University’s Michael Mann to declare that “we have less than a decade” to save the planet.

Jansing teed Mann up quoting President Biden and wondering, “So, let me ask you specifically about what the president just said, that ‘the science tells us the window for action is rapidly narrowing.’ How rapidly and how narrow is it?”

OH NO! Not the Window of CATASTROPHIC CLIMATE DOOM!

But, alas it seems unless we take drastic action, that would in reality wreck the world economy, then, we are all DOOMED!

SEE! DOOMED! And these experts are, expertly expert so, they could NEVER EVER POSSIBLY be wrong! Right?

So, what will our “Green” New World cost?

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 22 Second

Zendo deb takes a look, and sees some disturbing truths

Don’t expect to see much coverage in the US media. From The GuardianChild labour, toxic leaks: the price we could pay for a greener future

Our green energy comes with environmental devastation, and large side-order of child labor. (And dead children.)

First up there is the child labor in Africa.

Metals such as lithium and cobalt provide examples of the awkward issues that lie ahead, said Herrington. Both elements are needed to make lightweight rechargeable batteries for electric cars and for storing power from wind and solar plants. Their production is likely to increase significantly over the next decade – and that could cause serious ecological problems.

In the case of cobalt, 60% of the world’s supply comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo where large numbers of unregulated mines use children as young as seven as miners. There they breathe in cobalt-laden dust that can cause fatal lung ailments while working tunnels that are liable to collapse.

The US .gov just shut down plans for a cobalt mine in Minnesota (or Wisconsin – but I think it was MN) because it would be bad for the environment. They are apparently happy to have dying children in The Congo

Go read it all. So, if these stats are true, there are certain people who are pushing like hell to “GO GREEN” to “SAVE” us and the “FUTURE” for our children. Again, do the people pushing this agenda know what the results could well be? If so what is their motivation? Do your own research and think about what you find out.

Another day, another example of how pathetic Team Stumbles and Mumbles really is

Good Freaking Grief! President Mumbles blaming oil companies for his disastrous energy policies VIA Pirates Cove!

Biden demands oil companies explain lack of gasoline as prices rise

U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday demanded oil companies explain why they aren’t putting more gasoline on the market, sharply escalating his rhetoric against industry as he faces pressure over rising prices.

Biden wrote to executives from Marathon Petroleum Corp, Valero Energy Corp, and Exxon Mobil Corp and complained they had cut back on oil refining to pad their profits, according to a copy of the letter seen by Reuters.

“At a time of war, refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable,” Biden wrote, adding the lack of refining was driving gas prices up faster than oil prices.

“The lack of refining capacity – and resulting unprecedented refinery profit margins – are blunting the impact of the historic actions my Administration has taken to address Vladimir Putin’s Price Hike and are driving up costs for consumers.”

The letter is also being sent to Phillips 66, Chevron Corp, BP and Shell, a White House official, who declined to be identified, told Reuters.

Yeah, Mr. President, pretty much every American has questions about the actions the oil companies your administration of dunces and idiots have taken that have us dreading gas pumps. Heck, perhaps you could stop the far-left extremist energy policies and, I don’t know, maybe put America FIRST!

Oregon has declared war on your child’s mental wellness

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 15 Second

Pirates Cove has news that the Cult of Climate Catastrophe is really damaging the next generation

In a sane world, the parents, teachers, politicians, and news media would be charged with child abuse for how they turn children into mental messes.

Study: Climate change affects mental health of young Oregonians

Anger. Guilt. Shame.

Young people in Oregon say they’re experiencing these emotions as they face the impacts of climate change, according to a study released on Tuesday by the Oregon Health Authority.

The agency’s report, Climate Change and Youth Mental Health in Oregon, highlights how extreme weather events like wildfires, heatwaves, snowstorms and drought are creating fear, frustration, and hopelessness among young people. OHA partnered with the University of Oregon’s suicide prevention unit to host virtual focus groups with people between ages 15 and 25 and interviewed professionals working in mental health, education and public health.

“We want to see more youth mental health support in schools and in our communities,” Mecca Donovan, a 23-year-old from Eugene, said. “We want to see youth invited to the table and decision making.”

Donovan, who helped host the focus groups, said she wants to see more accountability and acknowledgment of the challenges young people are facing.

Please go read it all. Our kids are being fed a steady diet of impending doom and catastrophe and yeah, that will cause them problems. Maybe the climate scam artists could consider their responsibility for their irresponsible rhetoric?

The War on Dairy?

0 0
Read Time:54 Second

Daniel Greenfield’s latest is masterful. Here is a snippet, but go read it all

There are of course people who genuinely need dairy alternatives, but the woke obsession with “plant-based alternatives” has the same medical basis as the gluten allergy that activist coeds developed shortly before they began waving “Black Lives Matter” signs on campuses.

Fake milk had become about the serious business of saving the planet from mankind.

And so after the almond milk revolution failed, it was on to rice milk, which was projected to reach $1 billion by 2032 despite being 88% water. But rice milk turned out to be the most polluting fake milk around. Rice paddies, even without any cows around, “are full of methane-producing bacteria.”

Wokes don’t object to the bacteria, they marinate in it, but they are against methane.

People who drive their Land Rover electric SUVs with a bike rack on top so that they can park a block away and then bike to work switched to oat milk

Daniel Greenfield is a national treasure my friends!

FINALLY ! ECO-anxiety, now with extra CRAZY!

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 16 Second

Pirates Cove has the story of self-pity, pessimism, and the heartbreak of getting scammed.

Harvard Health says this is totally not a mental illness. Well, they might be right, if you consider losing your shit over what is mostly natural and becoming a cult member who refuses to practice what you preach not a mental illness

NOT a mental illness? OK then. So, what IS eco-anxiety?

A forest fire in northern California and a mile-long glacier breaking apart appear in your news feed. The stark reminders of climate change are constant, and may cause additional stress to your daily tasks. For example, in surveying your shopping cart filled with wipes, sandwich bags, and packets of baby food, you may question your choices, knowing that the plastic in those items will never break down completely. You may feel guilty about driving the short distance to the store, or you may struggle to stop worrying about how your actions will affect future generations.

Climate anxiety, or eco-anxiety, is distress related to worries about the effects of climate change. It is not a mental illness. Rather, it is anxiety rooted in uncertainty about the future and alerting us to the dangers of a changing climate. Climate change is a real threat, and therefore it’s normal to experience worry and fear about the consequences. Anxiety about the climate is often accompanied by feelings of grief, anger, guilt, and shame, which in turn can affect mood, behavior, and thinking

So, in other words…CRAZYY!

So, now cow flatulence must be taxed?

The jokes, I suppose, write themselves

Can’t wait till the future articles on the people of New Zealand being mad about the even higher cost of meat

Climate change: New Zealand’s plan to tax cow and sheep burps

New Zealand has unveiled a plan to tax sheep and cattle burps in a bid to tackle one of the country’s biggest sources of greenhouse gases.

It would make it the first nation to charge farmers for the methane emissions from the animals they keep.

New Zealand is home to just over five million people, along with around 10 million cattle and 26 million sheep.

Almost half the country’s total greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture, mainly methane.

However, agricultural emissions have previously not been included in New Zealand’s emissions trading scheme, which has been criticised by those calling for the government to do more to stop global warming.

“There is no question that we need to cut the amount of methane we are putting into the atmosphere, and an effective emissions pricing system for agriculture will play a key part in how we achieve that,” New Zealand’s climate change minister James Shaw said.

So, how do they measure this I wonder? Gigantic fart meters? Maybe these meters will have Al Gore’s face on them?

And in this corner Bio-Diversity……..

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 13 Second

Damned if we do, damn if we don’t Pirates Cove explains

It’s always something with this crowd, isn’t it?

Activists fear a new threat to biodiversity—renewable energy

A small Nevada wildflower named Tiehm’s buckwheat might still be living in obscurity if it had not happened to grow in soil full of lithium. As it is, that could prove its downfall.

Lithium is needed to make the high-powered batteries that are helping the world transition to electric vehicles. Demand is soaring, and mining companies are eager to take it out of the ground at several new sites in Nevada, already home to the only existing lithium mine in the U.S.

But Tiehm’s buckwheat is rarer than lithium. It grows only on approximately 10 acres of land at Rhyolite Ridge in southwestern Nevada—right where one of the new lithium mines is planned.

“One guy on a bulldozer could drive it extinct in one afternoon,” says Patrick Donnelly, the Great Basin Director for the Center for Biological Diversity and one of the flower’s biggest advocates.

He and some other conservationists see the flower and the mine as emblematic of a broad and disturbing trend: There is a growing conflict, they say, between efforts to address two environmental crises—a rapidly warming climate on the one hand, and a staggering rise in extinction on the other.

Pirates Cove has more doom and gloom………………..
