Well, it would appear so, but is is literally killing residents of Philly. Dana Pico explains
My good friend Robert Stacy McCain noted the drive-by shootings at the Shepard Recreation Center in West Philadelphia, complete with a link back to our story on the gunfire.
Mr McCain posited his story Sunday evening, concluding Like so much else in the “progressive” agenda, the soft-on-crime policies of Soros-backed District Attorney Larry Krasner are hurting the people whom Democrats imagine to be the beneficiaries. All this talk about “civil rights” and “social justice” won’t help you if you’re dead, and 346 people have already been murdered this year in Philadelphia, which is on pace to break the homicide record the city set last year.
Alas! The Philadelphia Police Department only updates their Current Crime Statistics Page during ‘normal business hours’ Monday through Friday, so Mr McCain’s statistics are behind the times; the weekend’s toll pushed it up to an even 350 dead bodies.
Philly is on pace to have 550 murders this year. Why? We.., Dana Pico opines, and he us almost certainly correct, that good old “social justice” is to blame, as are the people of the city?
Please go read it all. Apparently the Philadelphia Police Department is way understaffed.
Yes, “social justice” is killing Philly, and most of our major cities.
“Social justice” is a huge fallacy, the cockamamie idea that people deserve certain rights and outcomes because they are members of a particular Accredited Victim Group, rather than because they went out and worked for what they got. It has created a sense that if people don’t have something that they want, and they fall into one, or sometimes more, of the Accredited Victim Groups, it should and must be given to them, even though they didn’t earn it, and even though it would frequently involve taking something — usually money — away from people who did earn it.
Not just no, but Hell no!
