CAIR WANTS SCHOOLS TO CONSULT MOSQUES BEFORE TEACHING SEX ED

Prayers in schools and any kind of religious content, from the Ten Commandments to Christmas songs, remain widely opposed by litigious leftist organizations like the ACLU. And even the most modest efforts to keep kids from being exposed to graphic pornographic content have been assailed by the Biden administration which has sued school districts for trying to keep kids safe.

That’s why CAIR’s guide telling schools how to treat Muslim students is so extraordinary. The Islamist organization lays out rules for Islamic school prayers and tells schools to consult with mosques about sex ed. It warns schools against allowing Muslim girls to interact with boys in co-ed environments like swimming and dancing. And, in a time when leftist governors and school boards force girls to shower with transgender boys who claim to be members of their sex, it even insists that Muslim girls should shower in their burkinis even in single sex settings.

But what is truly extraordinary about the CAIR guide is that there will not be a word of protest against it from the same political establishment and media that smeared Florida laws empowering parents to protect students from sexual content as “Don’t Say Gay”.

California Legislature Passes More Gun Restrictions On Law Abiding Citizens

how none of these measures passed by hardcore Democrats ever restricts their own security, nor goes after actual criminals

Concealed carry gun rules passed by California Democrats. Gavin Newsom is ready to make it law

California Democrats passed new rules Tuesday restricting who can carry loaded weapons in public, successfully reviving a failed attempt to strengthen the state’s concealed carry gun laws.

Senate Bill 2, authored by Sen. Anthony Portantino, D-Burbank, will update the concealed carry licensing process, add new age restrictions, impose strict storage mandates and limit where permit holders can carry in public. After a vote of 28-8 in the state Senate on Tuesday, the legislation is headed to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s desk for his signature.

“I think the impact is going to be significant,” Portantino told The Sacramento Bee just after the Senate floor vote. “Having a gun is a responsibility and what we’re doing is defining who should have that responsibility and who shouldn’t.”

In a statement released Monday, Newsom commended the legislature for its support and said that there was a reason why people were “less likely to die from bullets in California.”

“We’re using every tool we can to make our streets and neighborhoods safer from gun violence,” he added in the statement.

Yet, it’s rarely those who lawfully own a firearm, and virtually never for anyone with concealed carry permit, to be involved in crime. It’s usually those who illegally possess, but, Democrats do not care, this is about making it harder for law abiding citizens.

ANIMAL’S DAILY STUPID IDEA NEWS

I have discussed, from time to time, how stupid the whole idea of “muh reparations” is.  It’s pleasing to see that California voters agree, returning some stunning poll results in reply to the once and former-Golden State’s  idiotic California Reparations Task Force Report.

The majority of California voters oppose offering cash reparations to the descendants of African American slaves, a new poll has found.

Fifty-nine percent of California voters oppose cash payments, while 29% of voters support the idea, according to a UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll that was cosponsored by the Los Angeles Times. A total of four-in-ten respondents reported they “strongly” oppose cash reparations.

Another Week of Your Federal Government in Action

Does the federal government do anything noticeable these days other than use its vast taxpayer-supplied resources to grind down and persecute its political enemies? You already know more that you want to about things like: unprecedented criminal prosecutions against the former President; a Censorship Industrial Complex to bully social media platforms into silencing opponents; and wildly disproportionate prosecutions of J6 protesters. Here are a couple of examples for today that you may have paid less attention to:

Buoys in the Rio Grande River

The Biden federal government has nearly ceased all enforcement of the immigration laws at the Southern border, even as millions of settler colonialists (*) come across illegally each year. This has created a very difficult situation in border states, most particularly Texas, which has by far the longest border. In response, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has come up with something he calls Operation Lone Star, using Texas state police and National Guardsmen in various ways to help stem the tide at the border, which in the case of Texas consists entirely of a river, the Rio Grande.

In July Texas started installing in the river, at places known for large numbers of crossings, some large floating buoys designed to be difficult to get across. Clever! Here was suddenly a very low cost and easy to implement step that could go a long way to solving the problem. Below from the New York Times (September 6) is a photograph of an early piece of the barrier being installed:

Seattle: Drug Use And Possession Laws Forthcoming

The City of Seattle has become a haven for free drug possession and use. Addicts on the streets and increased homelessness and crime have both inspired websites to highlight the decline of a great city and businesses to move out and never return.

But it seems as if now The City of Seattle is moving closer to having a public drug use and possession law actually on the books. But is it too little, too late?

Council Bill 120586, failed by a vote of 5 – 4 in June in Full Council. The bill would have made the knowing possession and public use of illegal drugs a gross misdemeanor, effectively codifying the Revised Code of Washington, or RCW 39.34.180. Why did it fail? The feckless Seattle City Council voted the bill down

Why? Because council members Lisa Herbold and Andrew Lewis wanted to “amend” Mayor Bruce Harrell’s provisions for police action based on whether or not those in possession of drugs on the streets were a “threat of harm to others” or just a “threat of harm to self”. Whatever for? Equity, or something. “Poverty Defense“.
