Ronald Reagan’s Path for American Renewal

On January 5, 1967, Ronald Reagan delivered his first inaugural message as governor of California. To read his speech is to be reminded that some problems recur throughout history. And that lessons of a previous era often apply to our own.

The first topic Reagan mentioned was crime. Then he discussed welfare reform and education. He brought up radicalism on campus. He called for lower taxes and fiscal discipline.

What strikes the contemporary reader is Reagan’s rhetorical framework. All these individual issues, he said, were aspects of a general relationship between government and the people. As today’s Republicans and conservatives grapple with inflation, crime, illegal immigration, and a culture of repudiation, they might take note of how the most popular and successful GOP president of the last century thought about the social contract.

Two-Tiered Justice: Indictment For Trump, None For Biden

The federal government is now on the hook to prove without a shadow of a doubt that President Trump conspired to take and keep classified documents for himself, and made false statements and representations.

Ok, and then what? How will the government prove all of this? President Trump is well known for his bucket mouth. He’s been famous for that for decades. So it will be interesting watching the feds try to prove that key statements were intentionally false instead of Trump just being Trump. Furthermore, did he actually conspire to keep those documents for himself?

Given how the feds mishandled their sorting of the documents which led to the famous photo of papers and empty file folders strewn all over the floor at Mar-A-Lago, how strong of a case do they REALLY have?

I’ll take ‘Syptomatic Evidence’ of Demonic Possession for $400 Alex

Powerful urges to engage in self-destructive violence? Hearing voices in your head? Yep, sounds like satanic spirits are at work:

Elliot Page — the transgender Hollywood star formerly known as Ellen Page — has revealed that she was on a zoom call with a doctor to schedule transgender surgery “within weeks” of hearing voices in her head and engaging in a brutal round of self-mutilation, including punching herself in the face.
The “top surgery” to remove her breasts took place in November 2020. The following month, she announced to the world that she had become “Elliot.”
All in all, it appears that it took Page less than a year from when she decided she was transgender to the actual surgery. Page made the revelations in an interview published Thursday in the Los Angeles Times in which she said the voices in her head told her she was transgender.

Armed Defense- The Amazing Virtue of Ordinary Citizens

These stories grabbed me. We had a pregnant woman who had to fight through a beating to save her family from two attackers. We have a homeowner who suddenly found an intruder in her home in the middle of the night, and she had the presence of mind not to shoot when she didn’t have to. That demonstrates that we have the capacity for violence, but we use it as a last resort. That are exactly the virtues we want from our armed neighbors.

The longer discussion of what we might want to do in each situation is on the Self Defense Gun Stories webpage. For now, here are the stories and the links to the original news sources. How will you protect the people you love

Obligatory Trump to be Indicted and Biden’s $5 million Payoff

Do they realize that this is going to drive more people into his corner, as they see this as a political prosecution?

So, why is Biden not being charged? He had zero authority to have those documents. He was VP, not president. Have they raided Obama’s house and offices? How about George W. Bush? William J. Clinton? Who wants to bet they have documents they shouldn’t have? This really is a case of selective, politicized prosecution. If Trump did wrong, fine, but, justice must be blind and apply equally to all. This is the kind of thing that can tear the country apart. Though, I’m not so sure Democrats care.
