ive years ago, a 20-year-old college student in Iowa named Mollie Tibbetts vanished while jogging. Police soon found her decomposing body in a cornfield, stabbed to death. A 24-year-old illegal farmhand from Mexico was convicted for the murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole, even though his trial was moved from where the murder occurred in Poweshiek County (3 percent Hispanic) to nearby Woodbury Count (19 percent Hispanic) to provide him with a more sympathetic jury.
Mollie’s father went out of his way to deny any racial angle to the murder, famously maintaining that Hispanics are “Iowans with better food.” Mollie’s father fell for the taco truck meme, the belief that open borders will just mean more taco trucks and otherwise no major changes to the American quality of life.

Move over Uber and Lyft; new rideshare app offers armed drivers
If you’re a regular reader here at Bearing Arms, you’ve seen or heard me talk about Uber and Lyft’s driver (and passenger) disarmament policies that force contracted drivers to go unarmed in order to stay in the good graces of the companies. Even when drivers have been forced to use their gun in self-defense, they’ve been quickly cut loose from Uber and Lyft because they dared to have their legally-carried firearm with them while they’re doing a dangerous job.
Given the large number of carjackings, murders, and other targeted crimes against rideshare drivers, I find it unconscionable that these companies are putting drivers at risk by demanding they get behind the wheel without the means to defend themselves from an attack, and I refuse to use either platform until their policies change. Admittedly, it’s easier for me to take that stand since I live in a rural area and have little need for a rideshare service to begin with, but I know that there are plenty of other gun owners out there who try to avoid these companies whenever possible.
Now we may soon have another choice, at least for those gun owners and Second Amendment supporters who live in New York and Atlanta. A new rideshare app called Black Wolf has just launched, and company founder Kerry King Brown says riders can choose to have an armed driver behind the wheel if that’s what they prefer.

THE DIRTY MONEY BEHIND THE LYNCHING OF CLARENCE THOMAS
The country is witnessing the second high-profile lynching effort of Justice Clarence Thomas. Even while the media ignores the millions from foreign nationals passing through shell companies to the Biden family, it has pushed invented scandals for Thomas while demanding his resignation to make way for a radical leftist Biden court appointee.
While no one expects anything but lies and smears from the media, few are aware of how the smear campaign against Justice Thomas was organized and who is funding it.
Before it was splashed all over the media, the Clarence Thomas smears were mostly generated by ProPublica with articles such as “Clarence Thomas’ Secret Life of Luxury” then rebroadcast by the media in stories such as “ProPublica: GOP megadonor paid private school tuition for grandnephew of Justice Clarence Thomas” which keep the smear campaign going.
While the media is deeply interested in who paid for Thomas’ grandnephew’s education, it’s uninterested in where the money that funds ProPublica’s smear campaign is coming from.
