Why Are So Many Kids Attempting Suicide?
State of the Union: The number of suicidal children and young adults admitted to emergency rooms has skyrocketed in the past decade.

The American Medical Association found that even as the total number of pediatric emergency room visits declined, mental-health-related visits among children, teenagers, and young adults surged between 2011 and 2020, from 4.8 million to 7.5 million.

In that span, psychiatric patients’ share of all pediatric and young-adult E.R. visits nearly doubled, from 7.7 to 13.1 percent. While visits related to psychosis, depression, drug and alcohol abuse increased, the New York Times reported that the share of admissions related to suicide nearly quadrupled, from 0.9 to 4.2 percent of all pediatric E.R. visits. This finding dovetails with a study we covered two years ago, which found the number of adolescent girls admitted to emergency rooms following suicide attempts rose nearly 51 percent between 2019 and 2021.

Biden Admin Still Has Not Properly Vetted 88,000 Afghan Refugees, Two Years After Withdrawal

Despite nearly two years having passed since the disastrous U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden Administration still has not fully vetted the over 88,000 Afghan refugees who were brought into the country to escape the Taliban’s rule.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, four Republican members of Congress sent a letter to Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In the letter, the four congressmen explain how DHS “encountered obstacles to screen, vet, and inspect all evacuees” during the botched withdrawal that ultimately left 13 American servicemen dead, as well as scores of Afghan civilians. The letter was signed by House Homeland Security Committee chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.), and was co-signed by Congressmen Dan Bishop (R-N.C.), Clay Higgins (R-La.), and Austin Pfluger (R-Texas).

The Push for ‘Net Zero Emissions’ is Climate Hoax Fiction, Not Energy Reality

Last August, Mark Mills, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, published a prescient report entitled “The ‘Energy Transition’ Delusion: A Reality Reset.” The report demonstrates convincingly that the transition to Net Zero Emissions (NZE), if politically imposed, will mean a dramatically reduced standard of living for the world’s advanced industrial societies. It’s an excellent essay, but it misses the mark because Mills misses the real point of the leftist push for a “green energy” revolution: For leftists, NZE is not about the climate. Instead, NZE is simply a vehicle to achieve a purely political goal.

While eminently reasonable and admirable, the Manhattan Institute’s push for “energy and climate” reality to dominate governmental policy debates will fail because global warming and climate change hysteria derive from neo-Marxist anti-capitalist ideology. “Imaging a world without hydrocarbons” is predominately a utopian dream, fit only for a John Lennon lyric. Climate scientists, who exchange emails admitting their “hockey stick” arguments require rigged data, know that CO2 is not the turning knob of Earth’s temperature.

Interior Secretary Deb Haaland tells Hawley She is Unaware China controls Critical Minerals for EVs.

While Energy Secretary Granholm gets most of the attention, it is the Secretary of Interior Haaland that controls all the leases of oil and gas, and more importantly the vast minerals of the U.S.  My favorite gal, Interior secretary Haaland presented herself in one of the most extraordinary hearings yesterday that was worth the price of admission. Anyone who has been around Bunkerville knows she never disappoints in her utterances. Without further adieu let the ignorance begin. Sadly, all the wonderful hearings that the House has been having is get zero coverage. P.S. Biden is still drawing down our oil reserves

PRESIDENT KAMALA

Biden’s announcement that he’s going to run for a second term was really Kamala’s campaign.

The ancient politico, who was born a little over a year after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, would be 86 years old at the end of a hypothetical second term. It’s unlikely that Biden, who already seems confused during press conferences, has trouble walking up the stairs and spends much of his time away from the White House would be able to function throughout a second term.

“With regard to age, I can’t even say – I guess, how old I am – I can’t even say the number. It doesn’t register with me,” Biden recently blathered.

It registers with everyone else.
